    • Be prepared to waste twice as many as you produce.

It's garbage. Utter trash. I'll take it by category: Print quality: Leaves much to be desired. Photos are not crisp. Color registration on fine details is way off, leaving a magenta ghosting effect on nearly everything, even after repeated cleaning of the rollers and replacement of the ribbon. Ease of use - Software: The Bodno software license key randomly disconnects, so your license to the software shuts off mid-use. The only way to restore the full version is to reset the key in the preferences, and then restart the software. From that point you have about 2 minutes to finish and print your project before it happens again. It was so cumbersome that I stopped using the software and started printing straight from Acrobat. Ease of use - Printer: The printer loses connectivity and has to be unplugged and replugged after each print job. The obvious solution would be to send multiple pages at once, but THE PRINTER WILL WITHOUT FAIL JAM EVERY OTHER CARD YOU PRINT. The red light will come on. You will have to open the printer, waste an entire card's worth of ribbon, and awkwardly remove the jammed card. This will happen regardless of how thoroughly you clean the rollers after each use. You WILL waste 3-4x as many cards as you successfully print. Plan accordingly. And of course the ribbons aren't cheap either. So although this kit says it comes with enough materials to get 100 badges, you will end up with 30-35 or so usable ones, if you're lucky. I regret everything about this purchase. I know this is supposed to be about the printer, however I have had issues getting it up and running (not Bodno's fault, just lack of time and energy). I decided to call and see if tech support could walk me through getting the printer working and I was assigned Felix! Not only did he patiently walk me through steps I should ave been able to do on my own but he also followed up to ensure I had what I needed! Felix was amazing!! I will say, if you have a Mac it will be more challenging so I recommended this item to windows users over Mac :) ... show more

I received my printer (Bodno Pronto) in a well-packaged box. It was very self-explanatory in the setup but for some reason I kept getting error messages. I contacted the customer service folks and was “paired with” Jude. Jude worked with me patiently and totally thoroughly and identified the preliminary problem. With Jude’s help I printed the first ID card. It seemed very dark and I said I thought it would do. The second ID would not print at all. Jude was determined that the print be great. He continued to trouble shoot and due to my commitments I had to continue the process on another day. I received a message that Bodno determined the machine needed to be replaced. In less than a week I received a new machine along with postage paid method to return the faulty one. The new Bodno Pronto is PERFECT for my needs. The ID cards are stunning! I hope that Bodno keeps Jude as their customer service and tech support! Bodno stands behind their products! Great doing business with them. ... show more

Product arrived, but did not get software as promised and have not been able to speak with anyone about it. Product does work with adobe. Prints with slight blur. You will have to figure out how to work for yourself because there is no one you can talk to other than Amazon customer care (They're great but of course it's not their product).
