I have been wearing this vest for a couple of weeks now and the quality is very good. I expect it will last for many years. The outer shell is thick and does not appear prone to snagging. I was worried from other reviews that it would zip from the wrong side, but it zips correctly. It does run small, so while I would normally order a large, I ordered the vest in an X-Large and it fits very well. It is warm and comfortable, with the fit long so it rides just above the thigh. I got this vest today and it is a well made vest. I normally wear a size Medium, this vest is a medium and fits fine. Also fits well over a long sleeve or hoodie. The inner material is as fluffy as it looks online, and is not cheap and lumpy. The outer shell is a heavier nylon and of good quality. It appears thick enough to withstand many snags. It also feels like it is water resistant. The stitching is also done well and should hold up for years. The zippers are a nice durable plastic with big teeth, while the zipper pulls are metal. You also have plenty of pockets. The chest zipper pocket is big enough to hold an iphone, and the inner pocket is large enough to hold a thin paper back book. The outer pockets on the mid section are large enough to hold bulky gloves and still snap. Im not sure if the description of the vest mentioned pockets to slide your hands into, but it has those as well, right behind the mid section pockets. The only thing I dont like about this vest are the mid section pockets. They are blocky and have a big flap. Not stylish, but for sure, useable. This vest is kinda like your Dad’s vest from the late 70’s just refreshed. He still has his and I bet you will have this one for just as long. ... show more

I was looking for a XL navy blue vest to add to my wardrobe being I find myself in that color unintentionally. I have returned another style Chinese vest before this one, it was, believe it or not, too large for an XL. This particular vest is a Large and quite put together nicely..."official looking". It's as warm as it looks and the Zipper is on right side as opposed to the other one I returned...oh, and a inside pocket. The shoulders is cut at the shoulder bone and doesn't extend a little pass it like the vest I'm accustomed to. The pictures on the model advertising it is a reliable rendition I think. I say, try the size you're accustomed to. I felt that this Vest like the other may be a little too large for "my" liking. My purpose isn't for major layering, just for Temps of about in the 50's. This is a great vest jacket for the following reasons: lots of pockets to put stuff into including one large inside pocket. Warm and comfortable. Looks and feels good. Big choice of colors. Biggest complaint on other reviews was that the zipper tab was on the wrong left hand side. This seems to have been corrected - my vest has the zipper on the correct right side for my country. I’ve had this for a day or two and both were rather cold nights. I have to say I am very impressed for the price. It kept me warm and comfortable at night and looks good with the fur lining on the inside. I would definitely suggest this product for fall and winter lovers
