I hesitated before buying this product because I knew of similar blocks at much higher price and I always think that "you get what you pay for" but I did a little research and I read lots of reviews of both brands. I was surprised that one brand cost the triple of the other. I am very glad I decided to go with the Magblock, 120 pieces set. I bought a couple of small sets of the very expensive type and I compared them. I am not an expert on magnets but I couldn't discover any difference. The magnets are equally strong and attractive, there are lots of pieces of different shapes and colors that allow for creativity and learning. My 3-year-old granddaughter is delighted by them and enjoys building 3-D tall constructions as well as great stuff on the fridge. I bought a second set to give as a present. ... show more

Got these in addition to another generic magnetic tile set we own. My 4-year old boys love them. They aren't able to follow some of the more complicated building plans, but still have fun using the tunnels and marbles. So far they've held up pretty well, we've only broken once piece so far (the little nubs somehow broke off one end, so it won't attach on that side). Bonus: I love playing with these, too, and am usually more than happy to build whatever they ask of me :) ... show more

I wanted this because I thought it would be a activity that my kids age 14, 4, and I would all enjoy. I was right! Great family activity. I got two different sets and mixed them. However if you want to build a super big maze like I do, I recommend buying two of these, so worth it!

We bought our grandson his first set of MagBlocksast year for Christmas. He still plays with them like he did when we first bought then. So we recently bought the 176 PC set that has tunnels and marbles with it. These are more fun than we could have imagined and the fit perfectly with the previous set! We've already got him another set and accessories picked out for a Christmas present for him! A friend had the Megablocks and my grandson's ages 4 & 6 just loved them. So I bought a set when they visited us and they loved them so much I bought another set. They are so good for their imagination. They are very well crafted and a good assortment of shapes and colors. I even purchased the magnetic people to go with them. Hours of fun for them. It is neat to see what they build and they are excited to show me. The build insert guide is also great.
