It is made of glass, including the straw, which is very nice and reusable. The lid appears to be made of bamboo with a rubber seal around it. I really appreciate reusable items; let's go sustainable.

This is a quality, interesting gift. But honestly, in practicality, it is likely the type of gift that gets used once and then given to a thrift store. Let's start with the actual football in the glass. While it seems cute and festive, it is sooooooooooo not practical. It takes up so much of the glass space so you are losing quite a bit of liquid because of it. Why they bothered to make it a straw cup is beyond me. The straw doesn't actually fit in the glass!!! Because the hole is in the middle, the straw goes only down to the football in the middle, making it stick up a ton out of the glass. Not even sure how they expect you to reach the bottom of the glass without taking the top/straw off completely and tipping it like a normal glass. Add on that the lid does not seal or stay in place at all (very bad silicone ring around it). For a product that would most likely always be a gift, they should definitely consider better gift like packaging too. ... show more

Fun way to enjoy your favorite beverage while cheering on your team. Comes with the mug, cover, glass straw and straw cleaning brush. Mine order also included a football keychain. The mug has a cool looking glass football within the mug. Glass is thinner than say an Oktoberfest stein, but it's well designed. I suggest hand washing for best cleaning. Cover fits, though could be tighter. Straw is useful, though I suppose it could be longer. But hey, it's a beer mug. Doesn't need a cover or straw. Sellers description says it holds 16oz. That's true, but I measured it, it actually holdings 20 oz, so room for a pint plus. It's fun and a conversation piece as well. Looks good in use or on the shelf. The headline says it all. While its a innovative idea, you cannot keep it hollow from inside. Because of that I cannot use it in dishwasher. the football design is huge and takes up more than half space. If I add few ice pieces, there is not much liquid I can pour. Didnt like it.
