  • My first pair of aggressive shoes
Color: Blue/Black Size: 9 Women/9 Men
Been using these for over a month now. So far so good. Figured I do this review since there's not a ton of info out there on these. About me: second year climber, primarily boulder more overhung/steeper angled routes, approaching intermediate level, but still more beginner on technique and route-reading. My shoe knowledge is MINIMAL so you probably need to attempt trying on a bunch of shoes instead of relying purely on the internet for shoe selection. Fit: I wear size 9 street shoes (42 eu). Wear size 9 in these also. Fit is TIGHT (there's been some minor break-in, but I don't feel like the shoes expand very much). I have fairly narrow feet, and I can't imagine fitting into the LV version of this shoe, toe-box wise. You gotta be really narrow. During climbing sessions, I have to rest feet between every couple routes or so. Coming from beginner shoes (La Sportiva Tarantulas), this is a bit annoying, but definitely notice the benefits on the wall. So much stickier on footholds. My foot placement technique (precision) still hasn't totally adjusted to the new shoes, but getting better. Shoe performance: You can lock in heel hooks like a champion with that extra ridge. Toe hooks also super easy too. This shoe is gonna really shine on steeper routes. If you're doing a ton of slabs or comp climbs I'm sure there are better shaped shoes for that style, but overall, these are pretty good for most styles of climbing. Durability: this is a question mark. I'm hoping they last a year. I climb 2 to 3 times a week indoors so we will see. No signs of any significant wear after a month or so. Value: I was looking at Scarpa Viper's and La Sportiva Skwama's, but the prices on those are quite a bit higher. I can't compare how they climb, but I do like the price on the Drone's a lot better. These will probably drop on Black Friday, so if you're looking for a deal, you can probably get it. ... show more

  • 9.5M/9.5W really means 9.5M/11W.
Color: Blue/Black Size: 9.5 Women/9.5 Men
Just to clarify 9.5M/9.5W really means 9.5M/11W. Other than the error in the description, the shoe is the best climbing shoe on the market

  • Questionable wear on arrival, parts poorly bonded
Color: Black Size: 8 Wide Women/8 Wide Men
Really wanted to like these shoes. They’re comfortable and fits right. They feel simultaneously snug but not too tight. The sizing is about .5 down from street as opposed to 1.0 down with the other models. Mine arrived with minor wear on the soles. The rest of the shoe also don’t look properly bonded. Even if it’s cheaper than other brands, some costing $140 shouldn’t look like it was glued together by a child. Hoping mine is just a one-off. ... show more

  • Fits my foot and sticks to stuff
Color: Blue/Black Size: 11.5 Women/11.5 Men
Great for bouldering indoors. Rubber is soft and sticks to small toe chips or big textured slopers well. Inner sliding lining is great for getting the shoe on your foot and the arch strap keeps nice tension on your arch. Had to UPSIZE from my typical climbing shoe size. I wear 11 in street shoes and Hiangles and went to an 11.5 for this shoe. Could technically fit in the 11 (due to the sliding liner, kudos) but toe pressure was very painful. Half size up and my feet feel great with these shoes on for hours. ... show more

  • Great Shoe With Bad Durability
Color: Blue/Black Size: 9 Women/9 Men
This is one of the most comfortable pair of aggressive shoes I have ever owned, hands down. The heel is interesting; It kind of always feels like it is about to slip off but never ends up doing it. I do like the crimp heel thing they have going. It definitely makes heel hooking a lot nicer in many situations. HOWEVER...the strap completely busted through the fabric in less than a month (rubber was barely even scratched up), not to mention it was while I was on a trip with only one pair of shoes. ... show more

  • Great Width
Color: Blue/Black Size: 9 Women/9 Men
I love these shoes. They are wide, but not too wide. Plus, they aren't as rigid as the LaSportiva Miura shoes I use to own. I do mostly indoor top rope and bouldering. These should stick well to the holds, even those slippery and smooth foot holds at those older rock gyms.

  • An aggressive shoe that’s almost comfortable!
Color: Blue/Black Size: 8.5 Women/8.5 Men
I would highly recommend this climbing shoe. If you have a wide toe box try this shoe! It’s an aggressive shoe that won’t kill your feet.
