It's junkier than I anticipated. Thank goodness it was a joke. The "branches" only have wire half way through, so hanging ornaments requires more skill and imagination than it should. The fuzzy "needles" came bent in shipping and a month later, after trying so many sprays, starch, etc. they're still bent. All of this being said, we're ordering one of each color because they are so tacky and hysterical, we must have them all! But if you want something nice, pass on these. ... show more

While it served its purpose, the smell it arrived with was sooooo strong and smelled like fish bait. It was AWFUL! I sprayed it down with probably every type of spray I could get my hands on and had to let it air out. The hair like bristles also shed, so I’m not sure how many uses I’ll get from it. This little tree is just beautiful. I liked that the branches look more like feathers than the typical plastic pieces. The lights are just in the middle up the trunk of the tree. That's the only thing I don't like. But, you can lights of your own if you wish. the lights run off batteries. The base is sturdy enough that you could even add some small decorations to the tree if you wanted too. However, It looks great as is.
