I have accumulated many different balaclava over the years living in Alaska. I really like this one because the material is very nice. I like the simple design also. It is easy to put on and get lined up quickly. I like the simple opening that can be adjusted from maximum coverage to fully open face and back again with one hand very quickly. The material is very soft and thin so you can wear it under a helmet or hat easily. It makes a great base layer. Very happy with it and have already purchased more of them. I think it may turn out to be my favorite. It is not overly warm, so you can use it working outside or sporting around without cooking your head. Very warm! Comfortable but a little snug. I wore it during some runs where temps dropped down last -10 with wind chill. Kept the cold and the wind out. A little shorter than I wanted but covered my whole neck.
