When this rug arrived, two things surprised me. First, it looked really thin. Second, it's a Berber carpet, with a loop pile. I don't remember berber being in the title of this product at all. But, I was pleasantly surprised when I laid out the rug. It's important to note that I laid out the rug on top of a rug pad, so that really helped the overall feel. This rug feels so good! It's smooth and soft to the touch. The look is amazing. The tone is great, and can look gray or taupe or brown, or beige, depending on what's near it. I like the design as well.
