This is my second Luna blanket and my child loves it. Great quality and soft feel. The weight is evenly distributed in their quilted pattern and gives my son a good nights sleep. It has loop ties at all the ends so you can put a cover on it, which I do in winter time. The blanket is machine washable and comes out perfectly with no bunched up beads. Luna blankets can be a bit higher than some of the others you might see but the overall durability and comfort it brings with its cooling cotton, especially in AZ summers, cannot be beat. I bought two style weighted blankets for the wife. She loves this one and sleeps with it nightly. We have the adjustable style beds so we each have a mattress. If you press hard enough you can feel little glass beads (similar to a bean bag chair), but they don't move around and remain static. Curious to know about what filler they use. This keeps the weight well distributed. Material will keep you warm enough in winter, and cool enough if you have the AC on during the hotter months. Softness: feels like most comforters. It isn't plushy or super soft, and I am not sure if it was ever intended to be soft. Which is why I'm not consider that too much of a factor with the overall rating. It does collect a lot of pet hair so if you have a pet on the bed you're gonna notice the fur. However, it is easily machine washable. Follow the directions and it is as easy as anything else in the laundry. Seems really durable for the months we've had it. Well constructed. Shipped quickly and came in good shape.     • Affordable weighted blanket worth the wait!
I have been researching weighted blankets for almost 2 years and could just never spend the $250+ on myself. I read so many reviews and was never sold on one in particular. I have high anxiety, as well as adhd, and somewhat ocd, in a nutshell. After reviewing the Luna information and reviews I somehow was sold on trying this one in particular. I received it quickly and ordered the Luna Duvet cover along with it. I'm 185 lbs so debated between the sizes a bit, but went with the 20 pound 60 x 80 blanket. I was surprised, not sure why, of how heavy the box was when I received it. It was a workout actually opening the blanket and getting it assembled into the duvet cover. I did this alone and would recommend having someone help you. I have a king size bed and am single so would recommend you getting 2 of these if you were a couple each looking to have one. This one fits perfectly on half of my king size bed. I was so excited to go to bed the first night and thought it was going to be the best sleep ever. Honestly, the experience is not what I had imagined. The blanket was heavy, I felt claustrophobic, almost like I was being held down, not hugged like I had read in most reviews. I didn't sleep well and the next day was disappointed. I decided to give it some time and finally a week later adjusted to the blanket. I can say now that I have the best sleep every night, the blanket is cool and not super hot which was a concern. I like to sleep in a very cold room with the fan on and this blanket keeps me a perfect temperature. I'm going to traveling next week and am worried about not sleeping as well on my vacation! I'm super glad I didn't spend the $250, but waited for this one. Remember to give it a chance because it might not be everything you dreamed of, at first. ... show more
