  • Very Satisfying
Style: Controller only
I picked this up at 43% off as an early Prime Day deal and at that price it's a no brainer. If it works as advertised concerning connectivity to wifi and Bluetooth I'd say it's worth full price, easily. That said I'm using this as a wired controller and have only used wired controllers all my life. That's not going to change soon as my gaming set up is intimate and as of now have no reason to test this controller otherwise. So I'm reviewing this as a $39.99 wired controller, not a $70 controller with expectations of all the bells and whistles being on point. And as a controller itself its the best I've ever used. Due to a disability I am unable to use a mouse for PC gaming so a controller is a must. I've used Playstation style controllers and Xbox style controllers in the past but would always return to my chunky, wide and dated Mad Katz controller. It worked, could take abuse, and I had gotten used to it over years of off and on gaming. Like driving a familiar car that's perfect for me it just made sense. Well that controller finally quit on me from extended cord abuse over the last couple of years and unless I want a used one from ebay at least a decade old, I was buying new. I'm a Luna founding member so have been aware of the platform and controller for some time. Seeing the controller was on sale and being a Prime member there was no reason not to get this controller. I've had experience with others to one degree or another and knew I'd have to get used to change. I was missing my broken Mad Katz just thinking about the other controllers I'd used and boxed away over the years in it's absence, as it too was absent for awhile. I expected nothing of the Luna controller but for it to be a reliable, fully PC compatible wired controller. But seems I got more than I bargained for in ways I did not expect as this controller fit me like a glove right out of the box. No acclimation needed, games I've spent hundreds of hours playing with the same controller felt just as well and better using the Luna controller. I've use an Xbox and PS controller in the past and they just didn't feel quite right in hand. But for me at least the transition to this controller was seamless and satisfying. A very well weighted, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing controller made from good materials and solidly built, it operates flawlessly and accurately and is a pleasure to hold in hand for hours while gaming. You don't really notice it's there. Which is exactly what a controller should feel like. Not there. Perfect comes to mind. ... show more

  • Controller works really well with amazon luna. has limination on steam games
Style: Controller only
This controller is actually pretty nice if you are using it for Amazon luna. The design is similar to a nintendo switch pro controller. In terms of feel, it is comfortable in my hand. I do like how it feels and the response on the buttons is not bad. It is not hard for me to reach and press the button. The trigger is the only part I would say I had trouble feeling comfortable with. It is more of a preference for me. The device does come with two AA Amazon basic batteries. The joystick feels nice and I found no drift issues with it. The battery installs the same as an xbox controller. The cover holds well. The buttons look well printed on. It was able to take some abuse in terms of joysticks. The pairing process is not too bad. You only need bluetooth in order to connect to this controller. It connects in a few seconds every time. You just need to power it on via the power button in the middle. The directional is easy to reach and works pretty well. I did try to connect this with steam and it does show up and register. That being said, it does not work with ALL games. I tried this on helldivers 2 and it would not register no matter what I did. So note that there is limitation to this controller if you are trying to connect it with steam. It works great with all the amazon luna games I have tried with it. There is no lag time. Overall the controller works really well with the luna platform. It does connect to steam BUT it is not support by all games. Regardless of that, the controller works pretty well. It feels pretty nice in my hand. It has a very similar control feel to the switch pro controller. It is light and easy to hold. The connection is stable. You can go pretty far from your PC without any issues. There is not drift. The only thing is that the L2 and R2 is a bit awkward to press but that is more of a preference for me. ... show more

  • High-Quality Wired USB-C PC Controller with weird, unnecessary gimmicks
Style: Controller only
Because I've had so many mainstream controllers develop stick drift (Dual Shocks especially) I thought I'd pick this one on sale since despite its bizarre branding and even-more-bizarre lack of rechargeable battery, I didn't care about tilt and was planning on using it as a wired USB C controller anyway. And somehow it has become my go-to steam controller and hasn't let me down in a year of heavy use. And it has delivered surprisingly well. It's built up to the quality standard of flagship controllers and so far (1 year, moderate-to-heavy use) shows no sign of wear. That said, I can't possibly rate it higher (4/5 is, honestly, generous) since it's such a bizarre product that was probably engineered at quite an expense only to end up being useful only for an unintended purpose (I mean who wants a controller with no batteries to play cloud games on Luna?). + Surprisingly great build quality + Feels great in the hand + On sale at $40 if you use it as a wired controller on Steam it's quite good value. - No tilt, no built in battery - Wifi stuff seems like a gimmick and a confusing one at that. If it isn't straight snake-oil, then it's probably just overengineered waste of PCB. The weight it contributes feels nice in the hand, though. - I haven't searched for guides, but looking at it, I see zero indication of how to open it up for repair Also, side note: works great with Luna? How about you make it work great with your Amazon Games launcher. Amazon gives away tons of interesting games for free to prime members, but it's completely useless because they have abysmal controller support and half the time I jump in and find Up mapped to Left. You don't have the money to invest into supporting every controller that exists, Steam Input style, fine. But you can't even get your own controller to work? ... show more
