I wasn't expecting much, but it exceeded what I hoped for. This light is definitely versatile, but it's true beauty lies in how bright it is plus the tripod is surprisingly nice. And if you remove the pole from the main tripod, you can actually slide it into (round only) monitor arms!!! Which means you can have it right above your monitor and can have your webcam in the center to focus on you. And I really like that. Pros * Bright!! * Wonderful tripod and tension setting * Warm and cool brightness Cons * Surprisingly big, but that isn't a bad thing! Can hold a cell phone or your web cam. Nice aesthetics. way above other ring lights. I like that everything has a standard screw mounts. It is not bright enough and joints should be stronger. but at this price function should be better. still problems with holding a heavy phone that points straight down. And not bright. no phone remote either ... show more

My wife has become somewhat well-known on certain social media and streaming sites so is always having me look for items to help improve her media. When I came across this Ring Light with Tripod Stand and Phone Holder from Lume Cube I decided to request it for her to try it out and see if it helps improve her results. She has used other ring lights but told me she loves how easy this one is to use and really enjoys using it with her different social media platforms. She loves how easy it is to setup and how the tripod is very stable. She loves that she can adjust the height of the light ring and adjust the phone holder as well. She loves that she can change the ambient lighting to adjust it to make her look her best and that it has a 3200-5600K temperature range. She loves that its USB powered and has the switch for on/off as well as brightness and modes on the USB plug itself. She loves how strong the phone holder is and how she can adjust it to all kinds of angles. She loves the smart LED screen that is built-in and lets her see her settings instantly. And she loves that the tripod is very stable and stays right where she needs it.     • Another excellent and highly versatile light from Lume
Lume became a well known brand during the pandemic as they were all over the media as one of the 'go to' lights for videoconferencing. They actually make a wide range of lighting products for workspaces, content creation, photography, video and--yes--remote work and videoconferencing. This light is an extremely versatile light that I've used extensively for content creation and videoconferences/calls. Lume doesn't 'reinvent the wheel' (or in this case the ring) and the form factor will be very familiar. That said, Lume delivers much higher quality and performance than many of the countless ring lights, video lights, etc. that I've tried. Right out of the box, you can use it in a number of ways. There's a smartphone clip so you can mount your phone in the center of the light. You can use it with the included legs in a traditional tripod configuration or mount it on the side of your desk with the included clamp. I prefer the clamp option since one of the downsides of ring lights is they don't travel particularly well. There's an optional portable battery grip but the problem isn't the power supply--it's the ring light form factor. This light is much more durable than most ring lights but for frequent use on the road there are probably better options. The light it delivers is excellent and highly configurable. You can change color temp and brightness with the on-light controls as shown in the product description. If you want a higher end ring light for more serious photography you can graduate to the Ring Light Pro. Like all Lume products, it's well made and durable and should a problem occur they've got great customer service. You can't go wrong with Lume. Highly recommended! ... show more

    • Ring light is great, tripod not so much
While I think it's worth shelling out a few extra bucks for a ring light that is reliable, i was hoping the tripod would make up for how much this ring light goes for. The light itself works great and functions better than any other one I've tried, but the tripod is flimsy and struggles at times to hold my phone. I don't think it's worth the price. ... show more

    • I love it, minus one thing
I love this light. It's great. I've started vlogging again and needed yet another ring light so I could have one in every room. This one is super easy to maneuver, and my phone feels secure in the stand. The light quality is great, and gets warm enough that it looks professional. I haven't quite mastered using it tilted, I seem to have an issue with all lights having them tilt down (to capture tablework) and it just falls over - but surely this is a me issue. My ONLY complaint about it is that I wish instead of spending a fortune for the housing for the light in the box it comes in (it's beautifully molded) they would have had it come with a carrying case - or even better just punched a handle out of the box so that it could be carried. I have a display monitor I bring on shoots that I've carried in it's original box for years because it has a handle punch out. It would be amazing if this were easy to take places. I didn't knock a star since this is a nice to have, not something that was advertised. I travel a LOT and this light is just SO much nicer than my travel telescoping ring lights I would love to be able take it on the go. I still will take it with me, but a punch out would make it that much easier. ... show more

The light works well but for top down shots with my iPhone that they advertised you can do the whole unit tips over. The tripod is not big/ sturdy enough to support the weight of the light and phone for a top down shot
