Update Oct 21 2024: Even better in the car! I had my first opportunity to check out the Lumbar Support Pillow in my 2004 Subaru Forester on a long trip to Vermont. The last time I took a long trip (without the pillow) I had severe lower back pain during and after the trip. My old Subaru seats don't have much in the way of lumbar support. This pillow or cushion (your choice) made my long trip so much more comfortable. It helped prevent fatigue, which kept me more alert during the long trip. I am going to purchase a second of the same pillow so I can have one in the car and one on my computer chair at home. I would give this product 10 stars if that were possible! --- Original Review --- I have been sitting in a Staples Kroy office chair for years. I never had the lumbar support I needed, even though the chair was an improvement over my previous Staples chair. The reason I purchased the Lumbar Support Pillow was my five hour car trip to and from Vermont last week. I became so uncomfortable I had to stop at every rest area on I-87 to get out and walk around. My 2004 Subaru Forester XT has limited seat adjustment. When I got home, I checked Amazon, and found this support pillow. I figured I could use it for both my computer (office) chair and in my car (2004 Subaru Forester XT). I received the cushion a few minutes ago. I immediately unwrapped it and let it expand. I didn't air it out as instructed because I have no issues with the smell. I don't smell anything objectionable from this pillow. I extended the straps, and strapped it to my Kroy office chair with the cushion positioned for lumbar support. When I sat down, it was like I was in heaven! The cushion supports my lower back - just as I had hoped it would - and is very comfortable. I can only hope that it doesn't lose its form or become squished after a week or so. I will update my 5-star review if necessary, but for now, I am a happy camper! ... show more

These are so comfortable and great to help your back out! I also use these for my regular style couch. You don’t need to affix the straps. They don’t get in the way and you can’t feel them either. My lower back was always sore from sitting on my couch and various chairs due to the poor back posture. After using this my back feels so much better. These are extremely comfortable. Just the right size to fit on everything. I even use this on my folding camp chair and it makes it feel like a completely different chair. Can sit all day with these. ... show more

This lumbar pillow is ok, but it didn't work that well for me. When I used it on a sofa, it felt like it was pushing my upper back out, rather than just pushing and supporting my lower back. In my vehicle it felt better, but I wasn't able to move the seat back quite far enough to adjust it to my normal distance from the steering wheel. I used it that way for several weeks but didn't seem to really do anything for me, so I removed it. I may try a roll type lumbar pillow the next time. I'm looking more for something that supports my lower back and helps maintain better sitting posture, and this didn't quite do it. ... show more

I have had back pain forever, and being under 30, there's not much you can do or want to do about it yet. I have tried chiropractic sessions, cracking of my back by myself, and nothing seems to help. Sitting at a desk for my day job had definitely contributed to the pain and made it worse, as it does for most people. I decided to try this and use it at work, and it's definitely improved my pain and posture!! For the price, it's worth it. I'm sure there's other resolutions out there that can provide better long-term results, but it helps to keep you leveled in the chair from leaning forward or slouching. The only downfall is that the support pillow sometimes slides on some different style chairs, but it's nothing crazy. ... show more
