Description

Borosilicate glass is a material highly resistant to thermal shock and dishwasher safe. Its chemical composition maintains unadulterated the level of acidity of any liquid or food contained. The vacuum area between the two walls allows for thermal insulation and prevent condensation on the outer surface. As a result, the temperature of hot liquid or food is maintained for longer than that of other materials such as porcelain or ceramic. The same is applicable for cold liquids and food, the desired temperature is maintained for longer preventing the “sweating” effect on the table and hands.

  • Painful to hold
I love my LB water glasses, and wanted to give these a shot despite the reviews. Unfortunately the reviews were for once too kind. The handles are very thin and because they sit far from the cup, you have to support them with your bottom fingers to balance. That means the weight of the cup is supported underneath the handle with two fingers, which hurts after a while. I actually find it more comfortable just to grab the entire cup. This is frustrating, because otherwise it's a great cup with a good shape. I do wish it was more compact instead of having a huge gap on the bottom, but that's not a deal breaker. I'll stick with my more comfortable Bodums for now, but hope to find an equally good cup with a more traditional latte shape. ... show more

  • Fits under Gaggia naked portafilter, clumsy hold
Barely fits under Gaggia naked portafilter. Will tilt slightly when positioned and removed. Pressurized portafilter will be tricky and the risk of breaking the glass cup will be high. Fits 8-10oz foamy drinks, 12oz black coffee, 13oz to brim. Approximately 3.5 inch height and diameter. Does not come with saucers. Rather uncomfortable to hold, the handle is too thin and far from the cup body. The bottom outer layer is rather too far from the inner wall. Seems delicate and is very light. No major defects; glass is smooth except at a single point but still sealed; does not affect function. Layered drinks look pretty. However, when measured with a thermometer, it does NOT hold temperature better than the more expensive 10.5oz thick-walled ceramic Coffeezone Cappuccino & Latte Art Coffee Cup and Saucer for Professional Barista, which is a much better design overall for classic cappuccinos and latte art. ... show more

  • Great Cups for A Designed Cup of Coffee
This is just a great double wall, elegant, larger-sized coffee cup. The coffee even looks better when it comes out in these. We have both hand and machine washed these with NO problem. The only reason we had to buy more is that I dropped one by accident.

  • Elegant Glasses
These glasses are beautiful and very well made. I had a very similar one by another maker and was looking everywhere for one like it. These are even slightly better; at least the handle seems sturdier. Most of the large double walled coffee mugs I've seen look more like beer mugs. These look refined, like glass teacups. I cannot recommend these highly enough. A little expensive, but I haven't found anything that makes a latte look more appealing! ... show more

  • Just right
Very nice. I’ve used these cups for years and this was a reorder as I broke one. They are sturdy with a nice thin lip; I was careless. Never put in dishwasher or water can get in between the layers. Capacity accommodates three- four Nespresso espresso capsules and a nice head of milk froth.

  • Expands the Cappuccino Experience into the Visual Realm
I just finished my first cappuccino using one of these glass cups. Wow, I'm very impressed. I originally bought these so I could start working on developing my latte art skills, but they really do add another level of pleasure to the morning coffee ritual. Because they are clear you can see the layers of micro-foam, milk, crema, and espresso blending together; and I really like the feel of the cup in my hands. I especially recommend these if you have unusually big hands and/or long fingers. The only possible negative I see is that the glass seems delicate, so I will be treating these cups with care. I would not recommend putting them in the dishwasher. ... show more

  • Fragile
Very fragile 1broke while washing (fell in the sink), the other broke accidentally broke hitting on another dish.

  • Glad I picked these up!
Bought this to make our double cappuccinos in the morning and love the fact that they keep the brew warm with their thermal properties, and it fits under my espresso machine spouts. It is a little huge looking because of the double walls, but the 13 ounce capacity is perfect for a double shot with lots of foam. The glass is very thin and light and you have to hold on to it well when washing, but at least you're not hefting a heavy mug when sipping your cup of joe in the morning. ... show more
