  • It does what it claims very well.
This product lives up to its claims. The instructions (English) were clear and worth reading before using. They warn against trying to test in ways that may show wrong readings (small pools, next to other devices, etc.). It gave good depth readings (as far as I could tell visually). Reading is only in meters. I was in a lake where there are fish and it located some at varying depths. It shows bottom structure (grass, rocks, etc.) in the form of icons and is accurate. The 25ft cable and transducer work fine. The hard part is keeping the cable from submerging. This is well worth $40. I use an inflatable boat and am very interested in knowing the depth. This works very well for that. As mentioned, it does locate fish and shows them as icons. The initial reading to the far-right shows where they are in the depth column. The fish icons displayed after that (from right to left) are basically a reminder of where they were when located. It’s up to you to attract and catch them at that point. It beeps (which you can turn off) when a fish is located and also as it moves from right to left on screen. It would be better if it only beeped when they’re first located because that gets annoying fast. You’ll want to turn the beeping off but then you’ll find yourself looking at the screen most of the time. Anyone used to or expecting advanced color displays should pass on this and plan to get something else. It’s got a lanyard so you can take it with you when fishing on shore as well. This is a good first device, especially if a more expensive one isn’t in the budget. For what it’s worth, I recommend it as long as you have the right expectations. ... show more

  • There's a learning curve but its great!
This fish finder has a learning curve to it but once I keep practicing with it it is easy to use. Some of the YouTube videos on it helps with the learning curve. It can be an awesome gift of a family member or if your on a budget. I would highly recommend this to a fishing buddy.

  • Great value
Although I have only been able to use the product once so far, I am very happy with its performance especially considering the price. The quality construction of all parts is better than I had hoped. Easy to set up, easy to use. I can’t speak for the accuracy of the depth to other similar products, as this is my first, however I have measurements on the rope I use for my anchor and had tested several different depths and it was spot on. I use it for my Mariner 4 raft, but this would be a perfect accessory for a kayak/Jon boat as well. ... show more

  • Best Amazon Seller Experience and Wonderful Product
My boyfriend loves fishing. He gets very frustrated when he goes out for a whole day and comes back home with no fish. I'm preparing him this little surprise for Valentine's Day. Portable Fish Finder. Im pretty sure this 5 stars review product will help him catch lots of fishes. I already received the package, next day delivery. Super fast. It was well packed with everything included as described. For me this is the best Amazon seller. In every sense of the word. Best, Amazon shopping experience ever. 🎣💪🏻🤩💯 ... show more

  • Surprised
This thing I feel is indestructible it's not anything special but I gets the job done the depth is pretty accurate I don't really use the fish finder part but I have dropped it banged it bumped it it might say it's not water proof but the hole time I have had it it has sat uncovered on my boat and it still works I'm not complaining I'm impressed 👍 ... show more

  • Accurate depth reading.
Attached the transducer to the side of my kayak with the included bracket. My only complaint is there were no instillation screws, that would be a nice bonus. I was in a very weedy lake and it kept picking up weeds as fish but I don't fault the unit for that. I pulled a relatively small lure past the transducer and it picked it up. Where it said there were fish, I cought something. In my photo I'm holding up an old Humminbird RF 30 and the depths are pretty much identical. If anything for the price the depth finder alone is worth it. I wish the hand held unit were waterproof, but that's really my only complaint about it. Just use rechargeable AAA batteries and you'll be a happy fisherman. ... show more

  • Techie simply fishing Tool
I had a blast with this product. I bought as a toy because I am trying to get myself into outdoor things and for the price it was right up my alley. I thought it was not going to work very well for the price, but boy was I wrong. This product even pick up the tiny fishes, which time was annoying but at least it worked. I spent lots time on our family vacation playing with these device and think I enjoying more then actually fishing lol. Horrible fisher man, but love gadgets. Great device and it was easy to use, highly recommend. Only wish that they had a device that did not let the fish get away but can have everything in life. Enjoy ... show more

  • Not hi-tec, but fun for a first timer and cheap
This is pretty low-tech. I didn't like it at first, but after trying it a couple times I really started to like it. It's more like a video game, it basically tells you the water depth, if there's rocks, weeds, and if there's fish underneath you and approximately at what depth their at. It doesn't tell you the size of the fish but that's all right. I just raise or lower my line according to the fish activity, and have fun. I'll probably upgrade someday but for a first time kayak setup it's fun . And the very best part is if I lose it or break it I'm only out $30 bucks ... show more

  • Nice starter fish finder for beginners
I bought this to use while kayaking and some bank fishing. The screen is very easy to use and read. I have only used it once on from the bank and plan to use it today on the kayak. Overall it believe it is a good product.

  • Great little unit
Haven't had a chance to use it for fish yet, but it works just fine, the display is clear and easy to read and it measured the depth of a bucket of water accurately. I like the small size and ease of use. This is a great addition to my kayak. Shipping was quick and the communication from the seller was prompt and helpful. ... show more

  • For ice fishing it's simple and seems to do what it advertises.
I purchased the Lucky for ice fishing and it didn't disappoint for what I intended it for. Depths where accurate, it did show rocky bottom which I know is true, and at 7m bottom it did mark a fish off and on and that's where I jogged and caught a lake trout. Direction said good till -10 c I fished in -16 with no effects to the finder. It's no Humminbird chirp as I use on my boat but it did do what I wanted it for. ... show more

Reading reviews I thought I would go ahead and take a chance, the price was certainly right. Glad I did. Bought it as a gift for my wife and she loves it. Works very well as intended and easily attached to her fishing kayak. If you are looking for all the bells and whistles then upgrade. • Good value depth finder
Works fine for what I expected. I got it to use as a depth finder not as a fish finder. Seems to be accurate in reading depth. Havent had any luck "finding fish" with it. Instructions are hard to read but its to be expected. Read other reviews or watch U tube videos for more info on usage.
