Haven’t seen any since I’ve been wearing them, they are comfortable to wear and seem heavy duty so that snakes would not be able to penetrate. I feel confident about going through some high grass areas now. My only complaint is that they are hard to adjust and get on. My legs are probably on the smaller size, so that may be the problem. I bought these for an extended Geocaching trip out in the New Mexico desert. They protected my lower legs from thorns and branches quite well. I saw no snakes but based on how well they fended off thorns I woudl suspect they would protect against snake bites too.
