This is my first time using a saddle for hunting. On the recommendation of a friend I got the back band as well for more comfort. I have used a ladder stand for the past several years, but it is a royal pain to get in the woods and to setup by myself. this makes it much easier to get out there and get setup quicker. Since this is the first time of me using this type of equipment I don't have anything else to judge it against. But I can tell you that so far with me practicing and getting more confident with the equipment, this is comfortable and will be able to keep my 240 lbs in the tree comfortably. Hunters are preparing the tree stands, trying out new gear and fine tuning. I replaced one seat with this brands version so adding the back support seemed a no brained. The hunter in mind gave it a go and found it to be very effective, comfortable and easy to use. The quality of the material is great. Looks like it will weather the season beautifully. If you're a saddle hunter, or getting into it I suggest adding a back band to your kit. If you even have mild lumbar discomfort from sitting for extended periods of time then this is a must have in my opinion. Lightweight, solid stitching, and the right colors.
