I have tried a couple other brands that claim the same warming and cooling/tangling effects but have been disappointed. The effects were just so subtle that I didn't feel them enough to really matter. This Lube Life brand, so far, has lived up to its claims. The warming lube starts warming within seconds and stays warm for quite a while. It's not to warm for me but others have said it get really hot. I'm no feeling that. It's definitely warm but not to hot. The cooling lube has a pretty strong peppermint smell and starts working nearly instantly. I like this one the best. It definitely tingles and feels really good. I tried combining a little of both and had a really good experience. Warm and tingling was the outcome. So I'm giving this 5 stars for both. The price is acceptable and it does what it claims where as other more expensive brands have been disappointing. ... show more

My wife and I were interested in trying this. We used a very small amount to start just to be safe, a quarter of a teaspoon or less in volume. Very shortly after using it, the sensation went from mildly warm to extremely burning hot. So much so that it ruined the mood and we both hurried to clean the stuff off. Unfortunately the burning persisted for hours afterward. The next morning, my wife still had discomfort and went to urgent care, where they said she had a very mild chemical burn around her privates. They asked what was used and we showed them the lubricant. The doctor was absolutely astonished that the lube contained capsaicin in the form of Capsicum Frutescens — also known as chili peppers! — and told us to be rid of it. Thankfully there was no lasting damage but we definitely took the doctor’s advice and got rid of this stuff. I wouldn’t recommend it to an enemy, let alone a friend. There are a whole host of other warming water based lubricants out there and most of them don’t use capsaicin. Get one of those instead. FYI, the most well known member of the Capsicum Frutescens family is the Tabasco pepper. This lube is essentially diluted Tabasco sauce that they tell you is "safe" to smear on your privates! First of all, keep in mind I bought this as a personal lubricant for silicone toys--not to be used with a partner. I've previously only ever used ID Sensations Warming Lube but was looking to try something new. I didn't think anything of this product's advertised "heat" effect. If it was anything like the previous lube I tried, it would feel like a warm blanket. I was very wrong. Less than 5 minutes after making contact, it felt like my bits were being pressed between a waffle iron. I scrambled to finish, after which I sprinted to the bathroom in a panic and ran cold water over it, to little relief. From there I made my way to the kitchen in nothing but socks, filled a cup with milk, and dipped it in for 10 minutes. As I'm writing this, I'm no longer in any pain, but my member is now slightly red and sensitive to the touch. From all the positive reviews, I have no doubt this is just my own experience and it absolutely wouldn't surprised me if Lube Life's Cooling Lube would feel much better, or even just the regular lube. Perhaps I just have sensitive skin. Or maybe it was a bad reaction to an ingredient in this particular lube. I partially blame myself for not testing it before fully committing. And don't get me wrong; it definitely gets the job done. It's slick, not sticky, non-scented, and you get a large 8oz bottle which should last a good while. If you're able to handle the heat--or if that's even something you enjoy, I'd recommend giving this one a try. But don't underestimate it. Spot test first. I'm sure the experience varies from person to person. Personally I was very excited to try this, but unfortunately this particular lube's heating effect isn't for me. The Lube Life products came recommended by someone I trust so I tried the warming lube. It's plenty slick and lasts but the warming feature is too intense and irritating on sensitive skin. I'm not able to return through Amazon so, I'm working with manufacturer to see what they will do if anything.
