Description

LS2 assaults the competition with the class-leading Assault Helmet. The Assault shell is constructed from LS2's Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA), a lightweight strong composite material, and is paired with a multi-density EPS liner into three shell sizes. The interior comfort liner uses a high-tech fabric that wicks moisture, dries quickly and is fully removable and washable. The comfort pads are pre-curved using LS2’s 3D laser technology for all-day comfort and no hot spots. Large, adjustable vents on the chin bar and at the top of the helmet work in conjunction with the rear spoiler and side venturi vents to offer adjustable, dynamic flow-through ventilation. The eye port is wide and houses an optically correct, Pinlock ready faceshield (lens insert sold separately). DOT approved. Meets the FMVSS 218 Standard, product also meets requirements imposed by the California Air Resources Board (CARB)

Did tons of research looking for my first full-face helmet and ended up going with this LS2 Assault. Best combination of safety, price, style, and features out there. Includes all of my must-have's such as active chin and top vents (in other words, vents that you can open & close unlike a lot of the Simpson's,) retractable sun shade to eliminate the need for glasses when combined with the included clear visor, a pinlock ready visor, light weight, quick detach chin strap, and DOT & ECE approved. In addition to all that, it actually includes the pinlock shield! Plus, it has a unique KPA shell that is comprised of polymer mixed with aramid fibers which makes it both lightweight, flexible, and strong with penetration resistance too. Looks-wise to me it has that streetfighter style with the large flat chin and the aggressive brow vent lines similar in looks to the Simpson Outlaw & Speed Bandits. Lots of shell paint options including some wild graphics. I chose the Petra matte black/gray/graphite pattern, which just looks badazz and is different than all the plain matte blacks you see out there. This thing just oozes quality. My head is just over 60cm, which puts me just a hair over the Large size on the size chart. I'm glad I went with the XL because this thing fits my head perfectly. Yes, the cheekpads are very tight, but will loosen up after wearing it on a few rides. I am told that you definitely want to start out with tight cheek pads because they will conform to your face for a proper fit. So honestly I do not see what more you will get on a helmet costing hundreds more (Shoei, Arai, Schuberth, etc.,) because this LS2 has it all. And yes, it has the wrap around neck curtain and the flexible chin curtain, so it is about as quiet as a helmet can be with that nice seal. Lots of full-face helmet users complain about noise levels, which is just funny to me. You don't know noise unless you come from my world of no-helmet or half-helmet usage. I had purchased a different brand initially but was unhappy with the heavy weight and loose fit so I returned it and took a chance on the LS2 Assault helmet in gloss white. Man! This helmet rocks! Lightweight, perfect fit (medium, my head measured 22.25 inches) and gorgeous looks. Actually looks better in person. I can easily wear this on longer drives without neck fatigue. The built-in sun screen extends down fully. Plenty of padding that doesn't squash my face but provides a comfortable snug fit. Excellent quality all around. For $179, this is a hard deal to beat and I'm really glad I took a chance on LS2. ... show more

Arrived on time. Helmet is very comfortable and seems to be made very well. I bought it for a fall/winter helmet. It's a bit warm in hot weather, but it's great for them cool 40 degrees mornings riding to work on my FJR1300. I commute 80 miles a day round trip to work and so far I'm not disappointed. So I've used this helmet daily. Its comfortable,snug fitting and light weight. It also comes with a pinlock max. There is a good amount of noise but it not too bad plus you can be more aware of your surroundings. For the price it's an amazing helmet. I would recommend this brand.
