I got these to move stacked crates. My current crates are stationary and it makes cleaning around them very difficult. When I put the new crates together, I put these under each corner and locked the wheels. I stacked the next crate as I assembled it. Zero issues with wobble or stability and we're nowhere near the weight limit. I have 3 crates stacked now and when I want them to stay put, I lock the wheels. When I want to clean around the crates or just move the critters, I unlock the wheels and away we go. It has cut down DRAMATICALLY on my cleaning time, not to mention how much EASIER it has made the whole process. My critters don't mind being wheeled around at all, and the crates are perfectly stable the entire time. I want another set now for my plant stack! ... show more

    • Great idea, but only practical for light duty

This furniture moving kit is a nice alternative to a typical handtruck or dolly. The idea is that you incrementally prop the piece of furniture onto 4 miniature dollies and then push it into its destination. It's a great idea because it involves multiple smaller lifting motions than one big one, and you can be more precise with where you place the item. The mini dollies and their casters are of sturdy construction, and there are raised edges on two sides to prevent slipping away from the corners of the furniture piece. There are some limitations, however. First, the pry bar, also a great idea, is too flimsy and will bend out of shape for any serious piece of furniture. Second, the casters are very small and will only roll on very smooth surfaces. Low pile carpets are iffy and deep pile carpets are a definite no-go. Thresholds are another problem as the small wheels won't bump over them like a handtruck would. All this being said, it's still a winner and my preferred method of moving furniture. The kit as it is, however, should be limited to lighter moving tasks. A heavier duty kit with bigger casters and a stronger pry bar would be a welcome product. ... show more

Full disclosure, I was given this item as part of Amazon's Vine program in exchange for an honest review, positive or negative. I have a lot of material handling tools, equipment and experience. When I ran across this one, I thought I would give it a try as a portable solution I could leave in my truck for occasional use. First, the pry bar is rather short. It is only about two feet. Because of the joint in the middle, it is much weaker than if it was all one piece. Given how short it is, I wish they would have made it one piece. Then I would feel like I could put my weight into it. The blocks they provide to raise and lower the height of the lip of the pry bar are a brilliant design. They stack together giving you 5 different positions for prying with. At the same time, they hold the wheels so they can't roll away. They only issue is they are cheap plastic and can't hold up to very much weight. If the walls of it were thicker and if there were made from ABS plastic, it would work great. Finally, the dollies themselves are just ok. They have a nice lip on two of the corners to hold the furniture in place, along with rubber pads on the surface. The wheels are the Achilles' heel of these. They roll over thin carpet, just OK. Thick carpet is a nightmare. When you hit a threshold or a bump in the concrete, they come to a complete stop. The wheels are just too small to go over anything. And you can forget about going over the rough surface of a parking lot with wheels this small. ... show more

The LOYAL TIGER Furniture Dolly Set comes across as an impressive little moving bag of tricks. It is generally useful though not perfect. Each dolly is a steel plate with four caster wheels and the kit includes foam protective pads to put on each plate. There doesn't seem to be a good reason other than labor costs for the pads not to already come on the dollies, but it's not that hard to put them on reasonably straight. The lifting bar comes in two pieces and snaps together. The stated weight capacity is 1726 lbs, which is probably a figure arrived at by taking the capacity of one dolly and multiplying it by 4, which is around 430 lbs each. That's a much more reasonable number I would trust the lifting bar with. One of my plates came slightly bent. It wasn't possible to bend it back by hand, so I am assuming this is from rough handling during shipping. It didn't appear to have an effect on its ability to roll with a load, so I'm not too worried about it. I have moved a couple of pieces of furniture solo with this kit that would require two or more people to move without it. The lifting bar makes it easy to pick up a corner and slide in a dolly (careful with wood furniture, though - you can damage the bottom). I was able to do this by standing on the bar to keep the corner up and then sliding in the dolly. After that, rolling is okay. I wasn't expecting much when I saw how small the caster wheels are, but it actually rolled fairly smoothly. My larger dollies with larger wheels definitely roll better, but they also require getting the furniture higher, and aren't useful for something like a table or a couch with legs. Grout sections between tiles were no big deal, and thresholds between different rooms and flooring types were only a minor challenge (no problem with any speed built up). Steering left a little to be desired, with the dollies sometimes wanting to go off on their own direction. Additionally, sometimes a dolly would shift under the load - my guess is uneven spots in the tile floor allow for the weight to release under one corner and let the dolly roll away. These are really handy for working solo (or with one partner) as it's easier to maneuver one corner at a time onto a dolly than to lift a whole piece to get the big wooden dollies underneath. They aren't the best way to move everything, but they are definitely worth having if you need to move heavy, large furniture or fixtures. ... show more
