    • The Strap is Spring-Loaded.

This is a very heavy, very sturdy hand-truck! The only problem I have with it is the spring-loaded strap. 1) The strap is difficult to place because of the high-tension of the spring and the fact that the gear teeth strip so not hold it in place, and it is even more difficult to self-wind and maintain the strap on the spool and not twisted. 2) I sense this spring will weaken over time, as all springs do, and will leave the strap retraction aspect useless. Otherwise, it carries the weight intended. Note: This would have been the perfect moving tool had it come with a manual strap crank. ... show more

Arrived on time box was not damaged but when I pulled it out of cardboard protector I found it damaged I didn't have time to return it and wait for a different one so I repaired it Amazon did give me a discount due to damage I showed them pictures of the damage it wasn't damaged during shipping it was damaged before it was shipped , that's my thought . Cart is good but the workmanship and welding needs to be better . I am a certified mechanic and welder I spent time to reweld several welds now it is good . ... show more

I am an ordinary homeowner who happens to own one of these hand trucks / appliance carts. It is expensive, but so worth it. It is so useful in so many ways. It has hard to imagine our life without it. It is simple, but there is a lot of attention to detail in the design. The strap buckle is metal, but strap material is folded over in a clever way to prevent the buckle from touching or scratching the surface of the furniture or appliance. The ratchet is positive, strong, and really works well. The stair belts work well, too. Saving the best for last: The retracting wheels make moving heavy objects easy. You can leave the furniture / appliance tipped back and then simply roll the cart to your destination (or leave it parked, ready to roll). It rolls like a cart so you don't have to support the object while it weighs down on your arms like other appliance carts / hand trucks that we have owned and used in the past. It is expensive, but so worth the cost, in my opinion. (Note: This is NOT a substitute for a simple hand truck / cart that you might buy from the home store. We have one of those for general use. too.) ... show more
