My TCL TV is possibly older than dirt,. The original remote held up for a nice long time surviving multiple drops, spills, being thrown in the garbage, and who knows what else. What finally took it out? The batteries exploded... After fighting the Roku Remote app on smart phones I caved and bought this amazing new remote. I am finding that the buttons tend to stick (using it as my shield remote died). While I’m glad to have something that works, the functionality is a bit lacking. Sometimes I find that I have to extend my arm to point directly at the shield which I never had to do before. There seems to be a lot of lag between the remote and my Hisense TV. Don't know what the issue is, but I've never experienced it with original remote, fire TV remote, or remote apps on my phone.
