Description

This 28-foot Louisville Ladder aluminum extension ladder has a 250 lbs. load capacity, rated ANSI I. This extension ladder is great for working on light construction and residential jobs. It features D shaped rungs that are fully serrated for a slip resistant surface. It has mar-resistant rail end caps to protect landing surfaces and provide longer life. Includes two extra heavy duty slide guides at the top of the base section combined with a stop on the fly section to prevent over extending the extension ladder. Features steel swivel safety shoes with metal shields specifically designed for extension ladders, ensures stability and safety even on uneven surfaces. From the Manufacturer A medium duty 28-Feet, aluminum, type I extension ladder, 250-Pound duty rating. It includes Quick Latch, a safety rung lock, mar-resistant end caps that will not damage the surface it is resting on. The swivel safety shoes adjust automatically to different angles and never binds. The D-shaped rungs make standing comfortable. The rope and pulley, outside slide guides make extending and retracting the ladder easy. The rigid full I-Beam construction makes users feel safe when climbing. This ladder meets all OSHA, CSA and ANSI Standards.

The foot design and the fact they're made of steel is better security and durability than Werner without significant weight increase. The only reason for 4 stars is the Quick Latch system that is placed where your foot goes on the inside of the rung and takes up foot space. It also gets inadvertently activated and you don't know until you try to adjust the ladder and ,wham, it wont. So there you are come down off the ladder with your hand busy with whatever you're working with, paint, paintbrush, hammer, drill,..(whatever... your hand is half full but you've learned to get the ladder up and down over the years), and you have to fool with the latch which is in a place that makes you have to put the stuff down. ... show more

On uneven ground, it is impossible for one person to handle as it must be level to be extended and lowered. The ladder was damaged somewhat in shipping though mainly cosmetic in character.
