I'm very happy with this purchase. I bought the light for a terrarium in a 1-gallon glass jar. The light is well made, sticks well to the surface and is easy to use. It's VERY bright for this application but works just right on the lowest brightness setting. It would be plenty bright from an overhead shelf at just about any height. The light is a pleasing white color. The terrarium now looks beautiful, whereas before it was hard to see inside. I was concerned that heat buildup in the terrarium would be too much, but that isn't going to be a problem at this low setting. Mounting the light outside wasn't an option due to reflections and the shadows that would be cast by the opaque lid. There are only three controls, so it's easy to use. I could really wish for a 16 hour timer, but 12 hours is alright. One thing: the settings aren't preserved if power is removed. So, an external timer isn't a good option. ... show more

I ordered 2 of these, both for terrariums. They’re very bright, so I have both on the 2nd lowest setting for my terrariums (both containers hold about 2-3 gallons). I love the built in timers and different light levels. They don’t get super hot, which I was worried about considering they’re lighting closed containers. They’re very compact and do the job well. Got this product 1st week of April and was so excited. Set it up and used the timers. Lighting was good. Recently noticed it wasn't turning on with timers. I unplugged it and plugged back in, still no light. Very disappointed since I only had it for a month

Love the size & ability to place just about anywhere. Ordered one to try in my snake cage so I didn't have to drill an additional hole for a light socket, bought 4 more the next day for my other cages. Love that it's dimmable, the plants I have in the cages are indirect/low light plants so I have it set to 25%. Easy to install, & timer works as it should. It's small size is perfect to put anywhere, & the cord is a good length as well. Will definitely order more if I need to :) ... show more

I purchased this lamp for my globe of bioluminescent. I had ordered the proper lamp for the bio’s and it was on back order. When I seen this lamp and the reviews I thought it would be worth a try. Opens the box, assembly was easy. Cord length was decent, quality of this “cheap” lamp was great and it was bright. Performance of product was the way I needed it to. Just one problem, the lamp was hot to the touch after only 10 minutes. Not hot enough to burn but hot enough to be worried about leaving it on and leaving the room. I bought the first set of these about 3 months ago and I just received my third set yesterday. I’ve slowly been putting these in every shelf in the house and not only does it help give light to my plants in my oh-so-dark house, but if you can figure out how to hide the cords they even look aesthetically pleasing! I’ve used zip ties, nails and even used so plant vines/leaves to hide some of the wires and keep them in place, you just gotta use some creativity. I’ve also never had issues with the timer and I like that you can adjust the light intensity as well. And my plants seem to be thriving so that’s the important part. Overall, 10/10 would buy again (obviously since I’ve already bought again twice) especially if you have trouble finding sunlight in your home for your plant babies 💚 ... show more

They worked ok for as long as they stayed working, though the timer function is annoying to use since you have to turn the light on at exactly the time you want it to turn on again every day, and if you ever lose power, it resets to an off state and then you have to turn it on at the right time again. The illumination itself seemed ok and made my plants reasonably happy....for as long as it lasted. I've now gone through 2 of these, neither of which lasted longer than a few months. The first one started blinking on and off intermittently and now the second one has reduced to a very dim illumination no matter what brightness setting I try to put it on. edit: seller reached out after this review and offered a refund which i accepted, so i've raised this to a 3 star experience overall ... show more
