I travel light internationally with a small dog and a carry-on. I have tried various combinations over the years and this carrier is the best I’ve found to -meet the size requirement to fit under a seat. (The size requirements seem to keep getting smaller). -stay upright (unlike other combinations of carrier and carry-on that I have tried, this carrier doesn’t tip, is stable with the carry-on slid over the handle). It’s a great combination for packing light. It is easy to remove the (light weight but sturdy) wheel unit from the carrier and place in the overhead bin.
