The ramp just came today. It is a little heavier than I thought, but I probably should have looked at that in the description. Besides that it is perfect. It is very well-made. The treads are like walking up carpet. It is wide and heavy duty. My dog is 95 pounds and this will certainly hold his weight. Plus it has a heavy duty lock so that you can secure it inside your hatch. I have a Kia Sorrento so I got the largest one so it extends far enough to make it not real steep. Great product. Our giant breed puppy is blind and has some hind end issues, this ramp saved us. We had tried stairs for her because we liked how compact they were when the family of 4 goes together with the dogs. The stairs were just too hard for her to navigate. This ramp is wider than average so she doesn't have to walk in a perfect straight line. The green cover offers great traction even after a big swim. It is rubbery feeling to it. Other ramps haven't done well getting wet (we take her swimming a lot). With enough water they begin to smell. This ramp has been tough, without smell, and good traction even with wet paws. The convenient handle makes putting it away easy. We've had ours for over 3 months now and it's doing great with heavy use. ... show more

Folds up compactly with a clip to hold it together. Fits nicely next to the kennel in the back of my SUV. Lightweight with a handle. Easy to carry. Need to be careful not to hold it by the handle when unfolding so as not to pinch yourself. A little narrow. Was careful to hold my dog’s harness when walking her up and down. The carpeted surface helps. A little steeper than the pictures that make it look lower to the ground than it is. The safety clip that attaches to the car is a nice feature but the strap is not very strong. Will wait to see how long it lasts. A stronger nylon webbing would have been better. Wish it was a little wider. Took some coaxing to get my dog to use it, but her legs are not strong enough to jump anymore, so I think she will get used to it. ... show more

Bought this ramp to help my 65 lb AmStaff, who has bad joints, get into my truck easier. The ramp was of good quality and my dog took to it right away, however. . . the ramp is awkward to use and heavy (18 lbs) especially when it’s extended, and it will pinch the heck out of your fingers. Getting it out of your vehicle you’ve got to have room around you to unfold it, then pick up one end and set it inside your vehicle while trying to keep your fingers out of the section joints which are trying to fold back up. Chose this ramp because it's Wide and Sturdy. Practiced with the 85# Labrador before going on a long trip, used treats to entice up the ramp and into crate a few times. Husband made a simple 2x4 with "feet" platform to raise the end on the ground, to make it less steep. Our 9yr old 70 lb Lab was injured and we needed something for her to get in and out of our camper. This worked great. A little slip under foot on the way down on the carpet. Not a problem for us, but bigger dogs may find the footing less than stable. Very easy to fold and unfold for use.

This dog ramp is very sturdy and appears to be made from quality materials. It is well worth the money. It is somewhat heavy but my greyhound uses it with ease.

I bought the 71” L x 20” w ramp for suv. I was so excited to find a ramp that was long and wide for my dog. Have a 105 lb Doberman who is a senior and has more trouble lately jumping into my SUV. I order this ramp based on the information. I was extremely disappointed when I used it. The pro’s: it is light weight. Has an amazing handle and folds up for easy storage. It looks nice and was easy for me to use it. The width in this is amazing; my dog felt secure with the width. The length is good but ended up being too steep with my car. The con’s: I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe 4x4. The ramp would not hook to the back of my suv. I have 2 separate hooks and the ramp Is set up for a single latch. (I could have figured something out to make it work). The most important problem was that is bowed pretty bad when my dog walked on it. She is 105 lbs and ad says ramp can hold up to 285 lbs. I had a friend lie under the ramp to make sure it was secure,) since we couldn’t use the attachment to secure it to the back of my car. It was as also steeper than I had anticipated and it was very slippery. I could have added some secure strips to make it less slippery but in the long run, it seemed like I had to make alot of adjustments on an item that bowed alot when my dog walked on it; and it already isn’t cheap. It is a nice product and I am disappointed that it didn’t work for me but maybe if you have a smaller and newer suv it might work better. My Tahoe is higher than my daughters suv( she has a 2015 Toyota RAV 4) I really wish this had worked for me but back to searching I go… ... show more
