Review of Long Winter Jackets for Men Faux Two-Piece Waterproof Parka Snow Warm Coats with Hood Quality: Very good. Zero flaws. All the seams are well-sewn, no gaps or puckers or unevenness. Zippers are securely attached and sewn on straight. Overall construction is good-nothing is off center or twisted. Fabric is solid, no snags or pulls. Color is uniform. No marks or odors. It's perfect. Impressions: DH loves this coat. Loves it. They thought of everything he'd want in a coat and a couple of things he didn't ever think of. The outer shell is a solid water-resistant fabric. It's smooth and soft and not loud. The hood is just the right size-big enough for a hat and not so big it falls over your eyes. The toggles snug it up tight against the wind. Sleeves are a generous length with a long ribbed cuffs to cover over gloves to provide finger to shoulder protection. The body of the coat is long-down to the thighs to completely cover your core. It's long enough for warmth but not so long you couldn't drive in it. The lining is soft and the insulation is thick. It's puffy on the inside and tailored looking on the outside and very warm. The hood is really neat. It's detachable but not by the usual zipper in the back. This one has two long panels attached that extend down the front and zip to the interior down past the chest. These two panels then zip together forming an additional layer in the front to seal the coat against the wind and zips all the way up to the chin. There are lots of pockets. Generous hand-warmer pockets and snap patch pockets. Exterior zippered chest pocket large enough for a cell phone and a zippered vest pocket on the left and a large pocket on the lower right inside. There are also one of the neatest ideas I've ever seen. Inside are two straps from the shoulder to the waist. They allow you to take off the coat and wear it like a backpack so if you go indoors for any length of time, like shopping, you can take the coat off so you don't get too warm and you don't have to carry it or put it in a cart. That's inspired. Sizing is generous. We requested the large and there's room for layering a sweatshirt and a light hoodie inside, although I can't imagine you'd need it but if you were wearing a sweater it wouldn't be too tight. He is absolutely thrilled with this coat. It has so many little details and is very well made and so warm and I'm thrilled that he's so happy with it. I really can't praise it enough. ... show more

    • A puffy warm jacket with lots of pockets
I live in Louisiana and we don't get snow, we rarely get even ice. But what we do have is a very high humidity and when it gets cold, it gets bone deep cold. This jacket is puppy it's large, I also ordered it that way, it's got a lot of pockets, and simply put it's extremely comfortable in the cold. My wife already tells me my pants have too many pockets. The fact that this jacket has more both makes me happy and her more jealous. But I know the downside to that is my wife is going to make me carry more of her stuff in my pockets. She'll probably end up stealing this jacket from me just because of how warm it can get. Something in this jacket that was a bit different from others I've owned is there an elastic band that's a little further up and the sleeve and not right at your wrist. I don't know what the intention behind this was but for me especially washing my hands, I'm not getting my cuffs wet. I want to talk about the puffiness of this jacket just for a second. I've not owned a jacket that was as thickly insulated or as puffy as this one. It takes little time to get used to. I kind of feel like I'm that Michelin Man mascot. Another notable feature is the like little shoulder straps. In Louisiana will have 20° that morning but by noon we're up in the 80s. You're able to pretty much take off the jacket and just wear kind of like a backpack which is nice if you don't want to carry it around. The quality of it's nice. This coat was honestly much nicer than I was expecting for a pricepoint under $90. It had some weight to it. The fabric is water-repellant for rain, snow and ice and windproof. I ordered my son an XL and it fits him perfectly with quite a bit of room left to layer. The length is great. He is is 6'2" and 170 lbs. The hood is detachable and is snug under two top-layers. The sleeves have an inner fitted layer to keep gloves snug under the cuffs, or you can use the thumb-hole and wear the inner cuff as fingerless gloves. The exterior four front pockets keep items secure with double-snaps for the bottom two pockets which also have slits you can insert your hands into. The top two pockets have zipper-closures. One top pocket has a utility clip. There are also two interior pockets - one has a loose elastic top and the other zips shut. The interior of the jacket has two removable straps that allow you to wear the coat as a backpack for easy transport. There are side zippers to cinch the jacket tighter if needed. The front features a zipper-closure on the inner layer and a snap-front on the outer layer. This is a great stylish and functional coat with quite a bit of storage for your phone, keys, and small electronics. ... show more

The coat looks to keep someone warm in our rigid weather. I doubt if there is a down fill inside because some of the fill is peeking through the poorly stitched zipper. What a shame. Poor quality and a good marketing presentation just doesn’t work, you need both.
