I brought this awhile ago and finally tested it out AND IT WORKED!! I had medium sized box braids that stopped at my low back. ALL MY HAIR FIT! I had the back of my head in the water and fully submerged under several times and MY HAIR WAS DRY. I was shocked. My edges were a bit wet but nothing I can’t handle. It keeps my hair dry really well. I have not tried submerging with it on yet, just laps. Very stretchy, easy on &off, and easy clean up. Well worth the money if you're trying to protect your hair. I will say that this is the tightest thing I've had on my head since the day I was born - literally! I realize that's part of how it works, but it squishes my forehead down it's so bad. I can tolerate it for about 10mins & I'm sincerely hoping it loosens up eventually. I like to wear braids and twist alot so I was looking for a swim cap that could fit all my hair and I manged to fit all my twist in this cap with no problem and it was not super skin tight.

Hi, this is my first review for this cap. I am currently taking swimming classes at my local YMCA. I have a lot of big natural hair and occasionally wear box braids or other styles with a lot of bulky fake hair etc. I got this cap because the swimming school requires everyone to wear a swim cap and i actually wanted to keep my hair dry. The stretch is pretty solid so far but I have only been wearing it on my natural hair and in four large plaits (braids) that I do. I have been watching some videos to finds ways to not wet any of my hair but haven't found a successful way yet. I think this cap does good to keep most of my hair dry but the lower kitchen area (nape of neck) gets wet and I think my edges get wet a little bit but I am not 100% sure especially since I have high porosity hair and it takes a bit for my hair to retain water. Anyways, for the price and quick shipping I think this is good so far. I have only had 2 lessons so far. I will try to update this review as I take more lessons but it will be a few weeks until then as I learn to submerge my head underwater while in class. (I am new new to swimming and nervous about getting under water). but overall I am satisfied with this purchase. I hope this information makes sense. I will also try to take some photos and videos. I brought this swim cap for my swimming class that I had started taking. When I first wore it, it fit great nice and tight. I wore it the same way the lady in the picture has it on. But then when I went to swim with it water got into my cap from me wearing it over my ears. If I moved my head a certain way it would let water in. So, the the next time I wore it differently not over my ears but above them instead. This seem to work better then wearing it over the ears where it lets water in.
