The name is Bark/Dove but it is not dark. It came rolled up so when I unrolled it laid flat on the floor. Very contemporary and looks great on my dark hardwood floor. I gave it a 4 star rating because it had a small amount of fraying at the corners.

It offers excellent quality, feeling soft and resilient under pressure and heavy usage, making it ideal for large houses. Although slightly heavy, it's best handled by two people. However, it features a beautiful pattern and stable color that maintain their appeal even in crowded areas. This 8 x 10 area rug from Loloi Amber Lewis in the Honora Collection is extremely soft and in my opinion, the 8 x 10 lays out flat very easily. The photos I took were within five minutes of rolling the rug out. It has been sitting rolled up for almost 30 days since I received it. Upon and rolling it, I was extremely pleased with the color, the softness, and what I would call micro fringe along the two ends. But since the room it was going in wasn’t quite ready, I started to fold it into quarters and was going to reroll it later. That is when I found the flaws on the back. Since I understand that rugs are woven or knotted and I’m assuming based on this price point, this one was woven…. I’m not exactly sure how these defects in the back will affect the longevity of the rug. I like it well enough, I’ve chosen not to exchange or return. I would definitely suggest opening the rug and looking it over well if you are in the same situation as I am where you won’t be using the rug for more than 30 days after receiving it. I have no idea if the flaws on the back of my rug are a - one of - problem. The top of the rug shows no flaws, no concerns, beautifully done…. I’m just hopeful that the problem on the back won’t come back to bite me. There is one area on the corner that I thought the edging was a bit off but I believe it’s simply a fold from being rolled so long. I have kept an eye on it for a couple days and not it looks fine. Based on the concerns I have shared above I am rating this rug four stars. I hope my thoughts, opinions and photos help someone decide if a new area rug would be a good addition to their space. ... show more

I got this rug in the 7'10" x 10' size for my dining room. My home has an open floorplan and there's another large rug nearby in the family room, which of course can be seen from the dining room. So I didn't want the two rugs to clash, but I didn't want them to be identical. This rug in the beige/spice color option is perfect because the colors are similar to my other rug, and they are neutral and warm but the rug is different enough that it coordinates without being matchy-matchy. It seems like for years every rug has been gray or blue, or gray and blue, so I was glad to finally find a rug in the warm neutral tones of this one, such as creams, tans, golden beige, and just a sprinkle here and there of darker brown. The warm, neutral colors go well with my skirted chair covers and other decor. The rug has a very light overall color, so I'm hoping I can keep it clean. But despite that worry, I really do love how the light colors have brightened my room, which has a lot of dark brown wood furniture and dark brown floors. My room really needed the brightness and lightness this rug provides. The rug is not overly thick, but it is soft. I plan on getting a rug pad to go underneath but haven't gotten to that yet, and the rug still is quite soft to walk on and it looks great. The two shorter edges have a very short fringe, and the two longer edges are bound with threads, sort of like they are serged. The fringe and binding look somewhat similar but if you loo closely at my photos you can hopefully tell the difference. I like the subtle, soft designs that look kind of distressed or antiqued; they add soft pattern that doesn't clash with, overwhelm or overtake other elements in the room, and they do not clash with the living room rug that can be seen from the dining room. The rug arrived rolled, not folded; as someone who has received a folded rug, I certainly appreciate rolled rugs because they lay flat so much more quickly and easily. Overall, I am very pleased with this rug's warm neutral colors, subtle pattern, large size and soft feel underfoot. In my opinion, it is also a good value for such a large rug.
