I introduced my new cat to this backpack. I lured him in with the metal clip, and he got in. I set it up to the "tent" mode, and he didn't seem too concerned. He tried to escape but didn't seem distressed. He seemed fine with being worn inside the "astronaut" mode. This morning, I found him relaxing in the tent on his own. Seems like he likes the soft fabric included with the backpack at least as much as my carpet. Bought this to take my new kitten to the vet because he didn’t seem to like the huge old plastic carrier with metal gate. My kitten loves the bubble! I put it on the floor and leave the side flap open and it comes with a snuggly little blanket and he crawls in on his own accord and lays down. Took him to the vets and before he meowed like crazy but in his new transport bubble he purred and snuggled down and watched me as we went to the vet. Super pleased with the purchase!!! ... show more

PLEASE READ WHOLE REVIEW I GOT A LOT TO SAY I love this backpack but it is small which is why it is getting 4☆. I just went to pick up 2 tiny kittens and decided to test this out in the process. Both 6 week old kittens fit but it was very snug even with the "expanding" zipper part. It didn't make much of a difference. 15 minutes into our trip both kittens got violently ill and started puking all over. It was horrifying. I cleaned it up best I could and continued. Then 10 minutes later they were pooping and puking it all out. Again cleaned to the best of my ability. I ended up setting the carrier in my lap clear side facing up and that gave them the most room. I GOT HOME and I scrubbed this whole backpack down twice with dish soap in my tub and rinsed it well. NOT A SINGLE STAIN I TELL YOU. I bought the light pink too. No stain on the white fuzzy support. No stains anywhere on the backpack. Scrubbing it with a brush and soap didn't nothing to weaken anything on the backpack. I am honestly surprised by the quality. If you have a smaller cat and they don't mind getting tossed around(the backpack is a bumpy ride for sure unless you carry it by your side) its perfect. If you have a cat anywhere over 14 lbs I would not recommend this product. ... show more

I got this for my adventurous kitty that is scared of everything but wants to be brave…. He is still warming up to it! He will lay in it but doesn’t want to be zipped in yet!!! That’s progress! But my other kitty who is more outgoing LOVES to go for walks around the neighborhood! I forgot the bottom cardboard one day so he was kind of squashed but loved it! I started training my kitten early with this, I would load him up to visit his grandma, go for walks outside the house (so it wasn't just used for vet visits) he loves it, runs right in when I tap the small side entrance. Nice quality

It seems durable but we just got it and used it for the first time. Spacious enough for a maine coon kitten. Very easy to cary. We could feed treats through the side door. Kitten seems excited to get back in it!
