  • Inexpensive with some good features, but some shortcomings
Style: Bluetooth + USB Receiver Color: Graphite
TLDR: Acceptable audio playback quality after you play with the equalizer in Logi Tune for video and music. Multi-device connectivity seems to work well. Okay fitment for large heads and normal ears. Mic is decent but is not great (even comparing against other wireless headsets). The materials feel cheap, but it is inexpensive. They probably are a good purchase if you are going to be gentle with them and would like a good bang for the buck option for a multi-device connected headset that actually works. They are not a good fit for my needs. The Good: +Sound Playback Quality+ In conjunction with the Logi Tune software, which you can download from the Logitech website, the sound quality can be pretty good. I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination, but I have rather sensitive ears (more on that under the mic section) and have used many sets of wireless headphones and headsets to compare against. The audio is quite good for a headset that comes in at almost a third of the cost of common "gold standard" wireless headphones like the QC45 and WH-1000XM4. It is important to note that these do not have active noise cancellation for the audio playback. This means that I can clearly hear my HVAC system on the other side of my basement if the volume isn't very high on the Zoom call or music that may be happening. I can also clearly hear the clicking of my mechanical (Gateron Browns) keyboard as I type this review, which isn't great. More outside noises can be heard through this headset than my current Corsair Void Pro Wireless (meaning the passive noise isolation is better on the Corsair). +Comfort and Fitment+ I have a big head and ears. The ear cups hug my ears fairly well without feeling like they are compressing them. I recently gave the Microsoft Surface Headphones 2 a go and while the ear cups were fine, I found the band to be uncomfortable on the top of the head, digging into my scalp. These were much more comfortable. They are very lightweight, and the band sits on the top of the head fairly comfortably, though I wish it had some padding. The padding on the band is nigh non-existent. It is more just a fabric wrap around the plastic band. Because of that, depending on how these end up lying on your head, your comfort may vary. The adjustability was also nice for the ear cups, though the is no tactile clicks between levels and I prefer that to the smooth adjustment action. +Multi-Device and Other Features+ It actually works. I was able to easily swap between my laptop which had the dongle plugged in and my Android phone which was connected via bluetooth. This is nice and one of the reasons I am in the market for a new headset for use when at home. It is nice to be able to switch between my work laptop with the dongle for Zoom and Teams calls and then seamlessly go back to my phone for Spotify. There is no perceptible audio latency with video via bluetooth or the dongle. Another huge plus (to me) is that the sidetone setting in the Logi Tune software persists through reboots. You don't have to go turn it on each time you reboot your laptop. This is my biggest gripe with Corsair iCue and the Corsair Void Pro Wireless. Every time I boot up, I have to open iCue and turn back on the sidetone, which is ridiculous. +Packaging and Accessibility+ I feel like companies should be doing more when it comes to sustainable materials and thinking about users that are often marginalized. Logitech definitely spent some time on this with the packaging being entirely paper based sourced from FSC-certified forests. They also have braille on the L and R designations, which is a little detail, but is a very thoughtful touch (pun intended). The Bad: -Microphone Quality and Sidetone Hiss- The mic is not terrible, but it isn’t anything spectacular either. It is comparable to my current Corsair headset, but there are two shortcomings which are problematic to me. The algorithm being used by the active noise cancellation for the mic rolls off a bit more gradually than is desirable. This manifests when you first start talking and your voice "fades in" with the first couple words you say before being full volume and sounding normal. If you are just monologuing to a group of people, that wouldn't be problematic, but when starting and stopping speech often in a meeting, I feel that this makes it hard for people to understand because the first couple words are always way softer than the rest of what you say. It also makes it hard to get a word in when someone else may be speaking, as your attempt to interrupt is quite soft. The other thing I have found is the soft hissing that seems to be introduced when the sidetone is enabled. I love sidetone, as I am a very loud individual, and it helps me regulate how loudly I speak into the headset which reduces meeting fatigue and just makes me sound less like I am yelling to myself in my office. The subtle hiss is super harsh to my sensitive ears. The irony is that I typically associate that type of sound more to early implementations of ANC on audio playback (not mic pickup) and there is no ANC for audio playback on these headphones. -Materials and Build- I like the fabric feel and it does not get quite as warm on the ears as leatherette type materials. I also like that the look is very understated with no flashy colors or lights on the device. The problem is the plastic frame of this headset. This is a plus due to the very light weight. What isn't a plus is that it feels fragile and cheap. There is a difference between cheap and quality plastics (ex. WH-1000XM4, which still have some material weaknesses which you can find in reviews). These are clearly in the cheap camp. I know that these are a third of the cost of the Sony headphones, but I firmly believe that I would break these if I was using them on a regular basis and this is not throwaway pricing. This is probably my perception due to my oversized head. I am stretching this frame a bit more than I feel is safe when putting them on and taking them off. Maybe a smaller head would result in fewer concerns? If you have huge ears, you should also note that there is no padding or covering on the inside of the ear cups, just straight plastic. I have somewhat big ears and don't touch the drivers directly, but it may be uncomfortable for someone with bigger ears that touch the bare plastic. Conclusion: Honestly, these seem like they would be a pretty good headset for folks with normal sized heads, that would result in less wear and tear when putting them on and taking them off. I really wish that these had ANC for the audio playback. That is probably one of the several sacrifices made to hit this aggressive price point. The hissing sound would probably not be noticeable or impactful to people with "normal" hearing. I am the kind of person that is bothered by the subtle coil whine from the regenerative breaking and/or electric motor(s) of the Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid which literally made me have a hard time focusing during a test drive. The Logi Tune software is simple, but effective. It also does not require some account with Logitech to function (bravo Logitech!). Perhaps Logitech will update the firmware (It updated when I first installed Logi Tune) on this headset and fix the hissing and the "fade in" effect with the ANC on the mic. That would definitely take this headset to the next level. ... show more

  • Great Light Weighted Headset that works with Cisco Jabber!!!
Style: Bluetooth + USB Receiver Color: Graphite
The media could not be loaded. I have had the Logitech Zone Vibe 125 headset for 2-months (67-days). I use them 20-hours per week for my part-time work-from-home job with U-Haul. ||| SOFTWARE CONNECTION: U-Haul uses the Cisco Jabber & Finesse phone system for outgoing and incoming calls. And, use Microsoft Teams for internal video and phone calls. ||| SETUP: This headset was pretty simple to setup, simply insert the USB dongle directly into your laptop. In full transparency, I did receive a little help from the U-Haul Tech Team to successfully connect them to Cisco Jabber & Finesse. This may be due to the fact the Logitech is not a certified manufacturer for Cisco Jabber (Jabra is). But once connected they have been a pleasure to work with. I have tried inserting the USB dongle into my J5 docking station, but it did not register, so as mentioned before insert the USB dongle directly into your laptop or computer ||| FEEL/MATERIALS: These headsets are freakishly lightweight. It's almost scary. When you take these headsets out of the box, you will immediately say to yourself "these are cheap feeling and looking" and not worth the $125 price tag. To the touch, you will only feel two materials: fabric and plastic - fabric on the headband and ear cuffs; plastic on everything else. ||| PRESSURE: This headset does not apply a lot of pressure on or around your ears (with or without glasses). I wear glasses the entire time I wear this headset, I do not get a headache or pressure on or around my ear. ||| SOUND: These are not noise-cancelling headset! Background noise will bleed into this headset, so I would not recommend these if you are easily distracted and have a household full of noise. However, I would recommend this headset to someone who is not easily distracted and appreciate the ability to hear their surroundings. I am not easily distracted and I am a mother so I appreciate the noise bleeding because I have the ability to hear my daughter if she needs me. She is tween and understand when the headsets are on mommy is working and only disturb her if it is an emergency. ||| MICROPHONE: The microphone is noise-cancelling. I usually work with my ceiling fan on high and the TV off. My boyfriend and daughter are typically home during my shifts in other rooms of our 903sqft apartment either watching TV, cooking, eating, or cleaning. My customers do not hear them. I am also a dog mom. He is pretty calm throughout the day and during my shifts as well. The most you may hear is his dog tag and vaccination tag jingle and the occasional bark because someone knocked on the door or used the Ring Doorbell. I typically apologize to the my colleagues or customer on the phone, but they always reply with "I didn't hear anything". I did do a voice recording using this headset with my ceiling fan on high and my TV volume on 13 (which is about 1ft to the left of the microphone) and I definitely heard my voice being brought to the front and drowning out the TV noise. ||| PROS: I think it is cool to be able to mute my voice by pushing the microphone up, instead of fumbling to find the mute button. They charge really fast. You are able to continue to use the headset while it is charging. Oddly, I like how the earcuffs easily glide up and down the headband for adjustment and stay in place the entire time - no more click, click, click noises :). Buttons are easily accessible, but I do not use them, I typically control the volume through my laptop, phone function buttons through Cisco Jabber & Finesse. I do have to use the on/off switch on the headset, I just turn them on before I put them on my head, otherwise I have a hard time trying to feel around for it (it is flush to the headset). ||| CONS: This headset does not fold or come with a hard-shell case, so I do not see myself traveling with them. The price for this headset should come down to $80, but I guess with inflation they are price correctly. ... show more
