All other Logic books on the market are still based on older versions of Logic Pro Please note that this is a print-on-demand book that reflects the most recent update of the book released on September 13th, 2015. The content of the book is updated to reflect the new features, changes and additions from the current Logic Pro X v10.1 "Logic Pro X - The Details", from the best- selling GEM series (Graphically Enhanced Manuals), is the follow-up book of "Logic Pro X - How it Works". It explains all the remaining features in Logic Pro X with the same style by using rich illustrations and diagrams that are not found in any other manual. This is the first time that even beginners and intermediate Logic users can explore the more advanced features in Logic due to that easy to understand, visual approach of this manual. • Great presentation style
While it’s difficult for the author to fit a lot of material in a single book, the presentation style is clear and great, and there are many hidden features presented.

  • I also appreciate the attention to detail in these books Highly recommended.
I bought the first book of this GEM series "Logic Pro X - How it Works" and didn't think twice to also buy this follow-up book "Logic Pro X - The Details". Logic can be overwhelming, especially when exploring the more advanced features. However, the author is doing such a phenomenal job explaining and illustrating even the most complex functionality, that I always have the feeling that I stay on top and not get lost. I also appreciate the attention to detail in these books Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Best Learning Tool (part 1)
I bought the first Logic book from this author (Logic Pro X - How it Works) and reading now the "Details" books to learn all the more in-depth feature of Logic. Watching YouTube videos to learn Logic is fine for a quick demonstration of a single feature or workflow, but there is no comparison to the wealth of information these books provide. Reading through them is almost like watching a slide show, one step away to actually a video presentation. Worth the money. Its Highly recommended. ... show more

  • GEMs are the Best
GEMs are the best Finally, after a some wait, I can continue to master Logic Pro X with this followup book to Logic Pro X - How it Works. After a week with these two new books that detail the more advanced features of Logic, I realized that no matter how complicated a feature seems to be, with the right explanation and the right graphics, its so much easer to understand. Now I can unleash all the powers of Logic and finally use it like a pro. Thank you GEM books. ... show more

  • Unparalleled
The Best Logic Books ... the sequel I have the other Logic books "Logic Pro X - How it Works" from Edgar Rothermich, which is the best book available for Logic Pro X in my opinion. His "graphically enhanced" writing style is so much easier, so much faster, and so much more in-depth when learning the app. It was a no brainer to also get his new book when it came out. The details and clarity, how he explains topics that other books shy away from, is unparalleled. ... show more

  • Brilliant! A must-have for learning how to use Logic Pro X
The value of this book cannot be overstated. Everything is explained incredibly clearly with useful illustrations and all the detail you need to completely understand the important features of Logic. The author's use of analogies is extraordinarily helpful to explain important concepts that would otherwise be very confusing. You can't get the same level of understanding from Apple's documentation for Logic, and it makes me wonder how this Author got his own deep understanding without having been the Chief Architect of Logic himself. This book won't teach you how to be a studio engineer - that's not its purpose - but it will teach you how to use Logic's features, and does so in an engaging and effective manner. ... show more
