This chandelier arrives in a heavy box. Included are the frame with arms, bracket and screws, four boxes of strands of glass crystal on wires, and some cloth gloves. Installation took quiet a while. The bracket didn't match up with my standard octagonal junction box so I had to improvise. Wiring is standard and can adjust from one foot to about four feet below the ceiling. After it is hanging, each strand of crystal has to be wired to an arm. of the body. Arms are adjustable by bending and some extra strands of crystal are included, there was one broken crystal in one of my boxes. Once the chandelier is up, it requires 10 G9 light bulbs, halogen or LED. I used 25 watt halogen bulbs which provide plenty of light in our dining room. Cloth gloves come in handy installing the halogen. I am pleased with the appearance and more importantly, my wife likes it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. First, this chandelier came packaged so well tightly bound with string and in a wooden crate securely tied. The electrical wiring was easy to do. However, it was a bit challenging to screw in the 2 large bolts and nuts to the lamp body(base) because they both spin when screwing. So, we had to hold the bolt in place with a nipper while turning the nut. Yet, it still got loose while installing. Now, the tedious labor. There are 26 balls where you have to manually screw in 6 crystal leaves. The screws sometimes may not screw in properly which means you have the wrong angle. Screw in precisely perpendicular. It is a lot of tedious work. 26 times 6 equals 156 leaves. Next, you have to screw into the chandelier branch. Some leaves we had to unscrew 3 leaves, because of the particular location where other leaves were in the way when screwing in the ball. After that, we had to screw back in the 3 leaves separately. Now, try not to screw the leaves in too tightly. The crystal either cracks or the little screw comes loose from the leaf and falls out. So, screw in ever so gently. There are 2 extra leaf connectors and extra leaves, so as long as you don't break too many, you're covered. What I don't like is the color of the branch. I think it is too yellow-golden. Maybe a bit more subtle light yellow gold would have looked a lot more luxurious. These require 8 G9 bulbs which are NOT included. We got the daylight dimmable ones and we love the bright light.
