I wanted my dog to be able to hang out in the front yard with us and run around. This was the perfect solution! It’s sturdy and the spike is deep enough that it doesn’t pull out at all or even lean. It rotates around so he can move easily and the flexible length is great.

The media could not be loaded. We love this product but it’s April and we bought them in Sept: One stopped retracting and on both the plastic is coming off and wires are frayed. They are really easy to use and are great for our dogs but they are pricey for the issues I listed.

I bought this for my 35 pound dog. My dog averaged about 10/15 minutes of usage, twice a day. Within a month or so, the retractable spring started showing signs of deterioration and never stopped. I added a light coating of WD-40 to protect metal parts. That helped by reducing friction, making it easier for the cable to retract. Our big boys (100lb ea) love having the freedom to check out the surroundings. They’re only on a lead when we travel and always supervised but I can attest to the durability as they have attempted to do some squirrel chasing!
