I live in an old apartment building, and unfortunately a large number of the shelving units are comprised of bare pressboard. For some reason, that bare particle board has always grossed me out, especially when you're storing bathroom towels and such. I have found a couple of these sample rolls of contact paper, and I thought they'd be perfect for covering these particle board shelves. The first one I used didn't stick to the pressboard well enough to stay on it, and within a few months it was lifting and tearing. I tried another seller's contact paper, and it was so flimsy that it folded in on itself and was ruined before I could get it on the shelf. I unrolled this one and was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy this contact paper was. There was zero chance this was going to fold in on itself. It was very sticky. However, getting it to adhere to particle board was still a challenge, regardless. I decided to put a very thin layer of Elmer's Glue on the wood and let it get a little tacky before laying the contact paper down. It did the trick, and it looks amazing. I'll be ordering more to finish the remaining shelves. It just makes such a difference in the whole look of my bathroom closet and feels so much cleaner. I'd absolutely recommend this seller's product over a multitude of others, as it is miles better than the thin, easily-tearing competitor's product. ... show more
