Some of the other reviews talked about the smell, and it does have a strong odor. I took everything out and washed it with Dawn dish soap. Then I sprayed the box, mostly the felt shelf, with apple cider vinegar and water (50/50) and left it outside. The smell is gone and the little girl loves it! The box is nice and big that can be used after the makeup is gone. I felt there was a good amount of makeup. ... show more
