As numerous reviews have already stated, this little giant jumbo step ladder/ step stool is the perfect go to product around the house or apartment. I wanted to address a reoccurring comment regarding the lack of a carry handle and the fact that when transporting the ladder from place to place it has a tendency to want open up. I have found that a great solution to address this concern is a product available on amazon called Easy-Carry Wrap-it Storage Straps 22" w/grommet. This strap solves several issues at once, it has a carry handle, the velcro strap itself keeps the ladder closed, its easy to put on and take off in just mere seconds and finally the version with the grommet (they have a version without the grommet) it adds another way of storing the ladder with the use of a hook that can go through the grommet. They come as a two pack so you could put one on each side if you prefer but only one is needed to lift and carry the ladder. The brand is reliable so I ordered this ladder. We have smaller two-step ladders but with our new kitchen cabinets we have an extra shelf on top and need longer legs to reach the upper shelves. This is on the edge of being too heavy but not yet. It opens and folds easily. Sturdy and strong, yes. The hand rail is great for safety and keeping yourself from falling. We have several ladders but they are eight too short or too tall. This is just right for the kitchen and paint touch up on the walls. ... show more

When it comes to any type of ladder, it should always be safety first. This is the first step ladder, I have used many, I have owned that was designed and built with safety in mind. I will name the reasons as follows: it is made from quality materials and avoids the use of plastic at critical structural connections, it is quite wide affording stable contact and room for heavy shoes, the treads are deep and wide assuring that each one is a stable comfortable place to stand, the flip up grab bar allows for three point of contact with the ladder, the treads include ribs for traction in wet conditions, the ladder folds fairly flat for storage, the feet are large enough to grip the standing surface well, and the ladder is lightweight. All that said, the ladder is a little awkward to carry, this is not a deal breaker. It needs a carry strap/stay closed strap. My advice, pay the extra money for this one and stay safe while elevating. Fit for home and professional use ... show more

The design team at Little Giant has created a fantastic step ladder. The location/heights of each step is perfect. Most of the time in an 8 ft high wall, the second step will be used, but in my garage, I have 10 ft walls so the third step will let me get high enough to do anything that I need to do. The tool tray just the right size to be very useful without being too large. My tools (drills, screwdrivers, hammers, screws, etc.) fit perfectly. The tool tray is high enough to easily reach everything and it provide great support especially when standing to top step. The hinges are high quality, made form high quality aluminum with easy to operate release mechanism. Everything about this latter is high quality. It should last to many years without problems. This is clearly the best step ladder that I've ever owned. ... show more
