This step stool is about as perfect as it gets. It's lightweight and unfold/folds easily. Lots of tread space for a secure position. My only nit might be that there's no latch or method to keep it closed. It tends to want to open when you pick it up and carry it around.

The design team at Little Giant has created a fantastic step ladder. The location/heights of each step is perfect. Most of the time in an 8 ft high wall, the second step will be used, but in my garage, I have 10 ft walls so the third step will let me get high enough to do anything that I need to do. The tool tray just the right size to be very useful without being too large. My tools (drills, screwdrivers, hammers, screws, etc.) fit perfectly. The tool tray is high enough to easily reach everything and it provide great support especially when standing to top step. The hinges are high quality, made form high quality aluminum with easy to operate release mechanism. Everything about this latter is high quality. It should last to many years without problems. Very sturdy, very easy to set up. Once this is open, it is more like stairs than a ladder. Those of us who have difficulty lifting our knees vertically to move to the next ladder rung can more easily move our foot forward to get to the next step. You don't need to open the handle extension at the top if you have no need to. My favorite little ladder, by far. Possible drawbacks for you: 1) it does not stay closed on its own like most ladders do. It will flop open as often as it can. This makes it more difficult to store, and difficult to carry sideways like you normally would carry a smaller ladder like this. 2) The handle extension at the top to grab doesn't feel sturdy enough to pull on to help you step up, but it is enough to help you keep balanced. I needed a ladder for changing bulbs in the drop ceiling in the kitchen and the drop ceiling in the bathroom. For years, I have been using a chair to get the needed extra height (I am tall, but I need more height to reach the bulbs in the drop ceilings), but using a chair was not truly sufficient. The Little Giant 3-Step Ladder is perfect for this task! This 1AA rated ladder provides strong construction and the Jumbo steps allow for movement while on the ladder: these together provide a great sense of security while completing tasks. The raised handrail is great for keeping tools nearby as well as a safe hand-hold while climbing and descending the ladder. I have had one for a few years and it has been safe to use especially as I get older. I bought another one for Christmas gift for family member. I like the wider steps and sturdiness. I wont use my old ladders with smaller steps and less stability any more.

The box is flimsy but the product is tough. The box came ends retaped and holes patched. The Brown uniformed guys don’t repair shipment packing so it was probably Amazon. Shipped to Amazon and got beat up. Amazon shipped it to me and got beat up. Box didn’t look good but steps had no damage. The product didn’t protrud out of the box. ... show more
