Took me three tries to get this thing. First time I ordered a 'L' as recommended by Amazon based on past order. Nope. I mean I could close it but it was seriously more like a medium at best. Put in a return and tried to order off the 'certified returns' (because almost half price) - strike two. Sent me an XL as requested but a women's XL which frankly I don't care what side the zipper is on but its more like a men's medium, again. Got the actual XL a few days ago. It's quite nice and seems and nice for wearing on morning dog walks. I still am on the hunt though for a truly lightweight vest. As soon as they pop in a lining we're moving away from what I consider lightweight. By comparrison, it IS thinner than my Northface 'lightweight' vest and obviously it will be thinner than any down or fleece - at least those that I have seen. As well, the breast pocket is not going to fit many modern phones but might hold a credit card or three. Lastly, again, save yourself the hassle and ORDER A SIZE UP. ... show more

It just arrived today; I tried it on. I essentially bought the vest as an alternative to cargo pants. I carry many small tools/equipment for work and prefer a vest to cargo pants. This vest only has three pockets, one on the breast and two on the sides. That is a downside, but I probably would have noticed the pocket count if I had studied the listing better. It wasn't the seller's fault. It looks good and feels relatively durable, but only time will tell how long it lasts. If the product degrades in any way that isn't my fault, I'll add an update to this listing. In the "star" review, it asked me if I would recommend you work out in this vest. I don't know why you'd be wearing a vest to work out but assuming that question was caused by some "English barrier," I would recommend it for hiking, golf, etc. I wouldn't recommend you lift weights or go jogging in it. I definitely wouldn't swim in it. SIZING: I'm going to take a leap and assume it is made in Asia like most things. Order a bigger size; they can't comprehend how CHONNNNKY us Western boys are. I bought this primarily for golfing. And overall, it works well. But the upper left vertical pocket zipper rubs on my golf swing. I am sure I will get used to it, but it would be better if it was positioned differently for right handed golfers.

Product was promised to be delivered on the 23rd as I was leaving for a golf trip on the 24th. The package didn’t arrive until late on the 24th. Couldn’t use it on the golf trip, which was the only reason I bought it.
