  • Took me a minute but works great
Style: 2-1/8" to 5" (Height 3-1/2")
Took me a few minutes to figure out how to use it. The spring is VERY stiff. Once I figured out which way to tighten and release it works great. Handles my 07 Jeep wrangler 3.8l pistons great. Would recommend!

  • Balls and springs
Style: 1-1/2" to 3" (38.1-76.2mm)
Hard to get it tightened to what I needed but once I got it there it did the job great.

  • Its sharp, its dangerous - but so is rebuilding motors
Style: 2-1/8" to 5" (Height 3-1/2")
This tool hasnt changed for a 100 years, and it feels that way. Just wear gloves, be careful, take your time, and it works just fine. I rebuild an engine every few years for something and its good enough for me. If I was doing it every day I would get tapered rings.

  • Gets the job done
Style: 1-1/2" to 3" (38.1-76.2mm)
Works perfectly for small engines, however instructions do not match up with the ring compressor as it states to depress button to loosen, there is no ratchet mechanism on it or anything to press as it's all friction

  • It good
Style: 2-1/8" to 5" (Height 3-1/2")
Works great but sometimes difficult when tightening at end

Priceless tool, nothing else will do

  • works, after a short struggle
Style: 2-1/8" to 5" (Height 3-1/2")
this is an incredibly cheap product; it works, but at the cost of a brief struggle on each piston. a much better choice, in my opinion, would be any ring compressor that uses a separate compression ring for each piston diameter. i used it, so i can't send it back, but i won't be using it again. instead, i'll spend a little more money and purchase a much better product, should the need arise. ... show more
