Just received it today and, after taking it out of the box, I felt it was flimsy and wouldn't do the job. But after assembling it, it became much more solid and capable. The base is heavily weighted for stability and the stem becomes more than adequate when screwed into the base with the screw and hex wrench that comes with the unit. I have a heavy Samsung Galaxy S23 phone and I have no problem. Remember to hold the stem down tight when you're fastening the screw and make sure the screw is tight. If the stem wobbles, you need to give the screw a few more turns. ... show more

My personal experience with Phone stands is that if the bottom is not have a little weight on it it tends to follow over hit the floor so then you end up having to get several screen protectors for it. I have one light this already and I just went back and re-ordered this one so I have one by my bedside and one on my table.
