JK!, I have a 20 year old jet ski with very little hours on it. I recently had it serviced and all checked out however when I took it out it had trouble starting and would stall, before going with anything else I poured a bottle of the injector cleaner and took it out the next weekend. I bought a retired DoD military ‘95 S10 from a government auction. One would think that the vehicle would have been serviced and maintained properly but it sat for who knows how long. After doing a full 60k mile service it had difficulty starting. So, after reading various reviews, watched some YouTube videos from popular mechanics and home mechanics, I poured it into the tank and took a 200+ mile round trip. It appears to work better than the other brands, but since it’s a TBI, I have to use carb cleaner too periodically. But, it starts up better than before. It might just need the timing adjustment. I read somewhere that PEA is the main ingredient that makes for an effective fuel system cleaner. That, and this product actually contains none at all. So basically, it wouldn't be as effective as Lucas then. But it is. I don't know the science behind it, but using this has either increased (restoree) my MPG back then (2005 BMW 330Ci ZHP) or made the idle smoother again. Rings were stuck to the piston on our Prius so it was using 5 quarts between oil changes. Believe it or not, this fixed it! Now it's only using 4 quarts between oil changes so it's a victory right? With modern GDI engines, it is extremely important to keep the fuel injectors clean so that they are not spraying droplets of fuel down the side of a cylinder wall which could get past a delicate ring and then cause a particle of carbon to detonate - which could wreck the engine.
