The instructions said 2 people needed to assemble . Well I decided to try putting it together by myself. I,m an 80 yr. old women in good physical condition, 5' ft tall 102 lbs. I didn't like cutting down the sides of the boxes to remove the pieces . I had 6 cubes. Not difficult but not fun. I opened all the boxes. I put all like pieces together. Took all the pillows out of their bag and put them in a room with the windows open and closed the door. The cubes were very easy to put together. The arms were the hard part. In order to insert the brackets into the slot I had to leave the screws on the back bracket a little loose until it lined up with the slot then tighten the screws. I made the pieces into 2 3 seat sofas. I was pleasantly surprised with the look and feel of the set. Very sturdy and the fabric is better then I expected. I was hesitant to buy such a crucial piece of furniture online especially after reading some reviews about issues with the low back. The back sofa pieces are very low and could have been made higher for sure. However I don’t find them digging into my back. You can feel the back of the couch but I would not say it’s uncomfortable. The couch was easy to assemble and is very easy to rearrange for a special occasion. It’s comfortable to sit and lay on and looks nice. The storage is super convenient although I do wish the boards sitting on top of the storage just opened and attached somehow rather than coming all the way off. Haven’t washed it yet but have had to wipe a few baby related spills off of it and it came clean very nice that way. The only two drawbacks I had 1. The back really cannot be placed in front of the arm in the corners as shown in the pictures. When you see it in person that way the arm sticks out way past the back and therefore looks really cheap and dumb. We arranged ours with a chaise type lounge on one side using the extra back on the other side in order to put the arm facing out because of this. Not a huge deal but a tad misleading because it doesn’t look that way in the photos. Hoping to be able to contact customer service for a couple additional backs sometime in the future to make both sides the same. 2. None of the cushions attach in any way to the furniture. This is the reason I gave 4 stars. Because of this the cushions shift around a lot especially on the parts that are functioning as ottomans. I have to put them in order quite a bit so it doesn’t look wonky. I really wish they had included something to attach them and am planning on adding something myself at least for the bottom ones ... show more

Update 2 months after purchase: While I still recommend the product I have found some minor issues you may want to consider. The Velcro strips that hold the cushions in place only do so to an extent. You will be adjusting them daily if the couch is used daily. And you will need to rearrange the cushions often to not get low spots in regular seating areas of couch. Second, I have not yet washed the cushions but one cushion cover’s zipper has already broken and will need to be replaced. This may be a personal issue but either way, the storage is great, but not easy to get to if you have pets and choose to cover the couch the majority of the time to reduce fur and need to wash covers. We love it! This was a great purchase decision! The couch arrived to us within 30 hours of ordering it. It’s supportive, yet still comfortable. Storage space is a game changer for apartment living, as is the versatility of it being a modular. One tip… open every box before starting to assemble the couch if you want instructions. They were in the last box I opened after assembling the rest. Haha! It is very simple and intuitive assembly though, they are Not truly needed to get the job done. I bought this to replace a love seat/hideaway bed and a couple of recliners that were worn out in my RV. I have no regrets and highly recommend people consider this as an option when replacing RV furniture. The seats are firm but I like it because older foam furniture padding breaks down/compresses too easily. Also with it firmer it makes it easier to get up off of the furniture. Deep soft furniture can feel like it sucks you in and holds you making it more difficult to get up off of. The furniture returns to its shape perfectly every time. The coverings are softer than I thought they would be which was a pleasant suprise. I love that each section has storage space inside and that each section can be reconfigured so that no one section needs to experience more wear than any others. The sections aren't as deep as a deep sofa so if you need a deep sofa or chair you should look for a different solution but it is perfectly deep enough for my use. I couldn't be happier. Make sure to measure your space accurately so you know how many sections to buy. Update: I spilled a bunch of red wine on two of the seat cushions and one back cushion. The wine sat on them dry for 2 days. On day 3 I finally had a chance to try to clean them. I removed the covers including the inside liner all unzipped and were removed easily. I then soaked them in cold water for about 15-20 minutes occasionally agitating them by hand and then let the water drain from them and then air dried them outside. I was able to put the liners and covers back on the cushion without any issues. I was impressed with how easily they zipped since the zippers are small and thin. The stains are completely gone. I never thought red wine could come off of something so easily. ... show more
