I have bought 2 sets, one for me and one for an apartment I rent out, because they are so high quality! Love the color and how durable they are. I use seriously sharp chef's knives, and while I can see a few cut marks on the boards, it is minimal and I think the boards are top notch.

Good cutting board but the design is sort of weird. I wish that rather than having the raised edge on one side (to accommodate nesting the defrost plate and smaller board) they'd have just let the defrost plate be a standalone as part of the bundle so the whole back side could be flush. Having the edge raised (which is how it is with the inset pieces removed) makes it so that you can't really use that side as well because the knife is always butting up against it when you finish a slice. Bit of ergonomics I hadn't thought thru when I bought it, and rather annoying. You can use a little over half of the backside of the board by leaving the smaller cutting board inset, but the other segment is lost to the defrost plate. Definitely something to consider before buying. ... show more

The cutting boards are holding up well after about a dozen uses; but I use the Defrosting tray more: for rock hard ice cream. It makes the ice cream just soft enough to scoop out easier in less time than just sitting it out on the counter. I didn't get good results with meat, I put one pound unwrapped frozen ground turkey on the Defrosting tray and it doesn't seem to thaw any faster than with any other method.     • Slightly worried about damaging knives

What I like: - the rubber on the cutting board stops it from sliding around. - if you cut on the side with the rubber ring, it will stop juices from flowing over. - the thawing pan works well, nothing life changing though. - it’s easy to clean by hand. Food doesn’t stick to it. What I don’t like - my main issue with the cutting board is that the bumps that stop food from moving around while cutting will sometimes snag my knife and make an uncomfortable sound and feel. It might be nothing, but I really feel that it is doing at least a little damage to my knives over time. - we threw it in the dishwasher and it got wrapped. I knew I shouldn’t have, and I knew it would probably warp, but I just didn’t want to hand wash it. ... show more

I looked high and low for a decently priced cutting board, then I came across this set. The cutting board is a decent size, and the rubberized coating on the edges help to secure the board on the table, preventing it from sliding around. It's holding up well, and is easy to wash.
