Not quite sure what the issue is but I have to unplug this device and replug it to reconnect it every couple of days. If it's a short power failure in the middle of the night or something then I would expect the system to reconnect automatically. I could be wrong though, not really that tech savvy.

This was a real pain to get it started! The directions are VERY confusing. Has some issues that I discovered with communication with the router. The tech support made this worse and VERY difficult to work with. 3 hrs later, finally got it working and no problems since. In fact, works great.

It was a pain to set up. Had to try multiple times to get anything to happen. Then it was like pulling teeth getting to the setup screen after it finally started communicating with my base wifi router station. Typed in what the instructions said ... nothing. Rinse - repeat. It's a shame they can figure out how to make these things user friendly. Good grief. If you can make it thru the frustration, and finally get it to work, location of your wifi repeater is critical. Too far from base station will cause your repeated signal to drop out. Don't give up, just move it a little closer to base station and try again. I read the reviews so I expected installation to be tedious. It was. I attached it to my computer with an Ethernet cable and used the IP address to open the setup web site. I only had to do that 4 or 5 times. I got it to smooth out the WiFi to my TV. It’s attached using the Ethernet cable now and it constantly switches between the 2. As it turns out, I can usually ignore the warnings when it decides the wired cable isn’t attached or the WiFi is disconnected. So better than no extender at all but by no means is this great. ... show more

Very easy to install, it took maybe 4-5 min at most. I used the browser setup and it was very easy. Easy to follow instructions. I put it in the garage and it took care of my issues in the back yard.

    • I put the extender half way between my WiFi and where I lose signal and I still lose signal.

The price was right but it didn't solve my problem. It was easy to install though. I definitely don't have a 1000 ft of signal.
