The light and solar panel are nice but the little Plastic capped screw that attaches the light to the stake makes this product a piece of junk. The screw on both lights was stripped not allowing me to attach the light to the stake. It just went around and around and the light only pointed to the ground because of it. Needless to say they are being returned. Don’t waste your money on this. Go to Home Depot and buy their junk as it’s easier to return. ... show more

I use these to light up the front of my house. They keep us feeling safe but also they add a super nice touch. My house is underneath a giant oak tree and these still light up till about 10 or 11 PM without that direct light.

I think I review more solar powered outdoor lights than anything else because I have been replacing as many of my powered lights as possible. I live in Florida and the one thing we have plenty of is SUNLIGHT. I go through these staked spotlights pretty often. Either the heat gets them, the salty air (we're a mile from the beach) or sadly my landscaper takes them out on accident. Solar spotlights are fantastic because you can move them and put them literally anywhere - no landscape wiring. If you have not lived the joy of installing landscape lighting...take my word for it, go solar. These are sturdy enough and have a nice sized solar panel. Plenty of light and will work as long as any others I am sure. We just got them so two days is not much of a longevity test. My one complaint is that they have a single setting. This brand requires you to buy the type of lighting you want as a separate unit. I have the daylight version but they make warm light and multicolor lights. I would prefer if these were able to switch between daylight and warm light but they are not expensive units. Only real recommendation is to make sure you purchase the type of light you want produced in advance and not assume they can be switched otherwise a great little light. ... show more

These lights are moderately bright and would be ideal for lighting up a walkway in different colors (say for Christmas or Halloween). The solar sensor is pretty sensitive but you'll need full sun to provide sufficient battery to shine through the night. It doesn't offer white as a color, so if you want regular white lights, go with the larger white light kit which is brighter. ... show more
