The Lincoln portable welding table is made of 12-gauge steel, which is much thicker than other tables I've seen. It is sturdy and well designed and finished with no sharp edges. The holes are 16mm (0.63-inches) which is slightly larger than 5/8-inches (.625-inches). The table is rated for 500-lbs even though other similar tables having the same type of legs are rated at much higher weights. Maybe Lincoln is just being conservative? At any rate, it supports more than enough weight for my needs. The powder-coated legs are very adjustable and steady and fold smoothly out of the way for storage. Four separate locking pins are included as an extra safeguard for ensuring that the legs can't accidentally collapse. At first I was skeptical about whether the 4-section top would be flat and strong enough. However, there are offset edges and reinforcing rails along with many small nuts and bolts that give it sufficient strength and flatness. This table should be assembled on a flat surface. Time and patience are required but the instructions are good. There are optional wheels available for this table, which I think should have been included. They are excellent and highly recommended. Storage: This is not a light-weight table that you can easily hang on a wall, despite what some of the videos I've seen demonstrate. A person of average strength would struggle to lift it up (especially if fitted with those optional wheels.) I solved this difficulty by using ratchetting hold-down straps attached to wall hooks to lift and lower the stored table.     • Nice Smaller Portable Weld Table
Very impressed with this portable welding table. Not going to be mistahen for a "fabrication" table but plenty of holes for fab tools to ensure straight & minimal warpage during use. Good sturdy table for welding & able to accommodate use of plasma cutters & oxy acetylene cutting . Adjustable legs help with uneven out in the field. The accessory wheel kit makes this heavy weld table very portable. While it's not "flat" is certainly close if built on good surface. Easy to build and easy to shim & adjust if needed. Only gripe is handle does not seem to "fit" in any offered holes. If your looking for a good portable weld table you can't go wrong with Lincoln Electric Portable Weld Table ... show more

    • Great quality, flat, long assembly time, clamping option questionable
I like this table a lot. The quality is apparent. The assembly time is pretty monumental, though. You also need a torque wrench that fits in tight spaces. The top comes in 4 pieces. Because you want a flat outcome, you need a flat surface for assembly. I elected to use my garage floor (poured concrete), which worked out well. Overall product quality, again, is great! My only issue is that large clamps that work on other tables don't seem to work here. There's a lip under the bottom edge that significantly limits the ability of large claps to open up and clamp anything of significant height. I guess I'll have to buy LE's matching clamp kit, to be able to use the fixturing holes to support clamping. Nonetheless, this is a great table, actually fairly heavy, but the legs fold up nicely even when extended! I really need to add the optional wheels, to help maneuver this around the garage, out to the driveway, and over to the wall for storage. I haven't found a better quality table for a lower price-point. If you're considering this, just get it! You won't regret it! ... show more

Useful for welding non precision items like mufflers ,farm equipment ,household items, it lightweight useful for taking with you to the job site or the field No you arent going to ba able to build a motorcycle, or precision water jet frame on this . Comes in a box full of parts and needs assembly .

    • This is built like a tank
I needed a portable welding table for field work. Now this won't replace a full shop table but it's construction and durability are excellent. Plenty of hold downs and the price is excellent. Not sure how they even make money this table is heavy and it's free shipping.
