  • Couldn't ask much more for the price.
Ordered 8(two 4 packs) figuring there might be a broken one or two among the mix, (local shipping carriers here can be a bit rough on packages) but I was pleasantly surprised to find they were all intact, and they've all worked, and they were all well packaged in their own individual protective foam packaging. Lumens: Yes! Wattage: 45-ish probably. UL Listed: lol no... Hazardous Waste Notice: Come on you just payed half the market price, did you expect silly things like safety warnings, or disposal notices? (nothing of the sort to be found) Okay, humor aside they probably aren't exactly up to industry standards as far as markings on the bulbs themselves, but hey they are fairly inexpensive, they are well packaged, and they emit lots of light. I noticed one was slightly off kilter and the spiral was misaligned by 5 or 10 degrees from true, doesn't affect it at all really and most people wouldn't have noticed, but I could see it, still though it wasn't loose and the bulb still works just fine so not a big deal. They are certainly a lot brighter than the 23 watt Sylvania CFL bulbs I found locally, and I even have a some of these helping to keep my Tamarillo happy now as it overwinters indoors next to a south facing window. While they were all intact and functional the perception I have from the materials, feel, and overall construction is that they probably aren't the most durable, I'm sure they'll do just fine installed in typical stationary indoor locations but I would be a little reluctant for instance to install them in something like a portable light stand that gets moved around a lot in the back of a truck. Great for the price, you or I could ask for more, but I think we'd end up paying for it too, and at the end of the day I have lights that work at an affordable price and that was the goal. ... show more

  • its white
I am an armature at video making/photography and its always a huge pain trying to find lights that are truly white. I have ordered 4 sets of these over the years mostly because my flimsy light stand tips over at the drop of a hat and breaks them. I have only had a few of them go bad, and thats because they were being used as a ceiling light thats on for about 16 hours a day and even then it lasted a very long time. I have never had problems of them arriving broken because they are packed in Styrofoam, in individual boxes, boxed together, and further padded by amazons air bag things they throw in boxes. Are these the best value for your money? I have no idea but they work, theyre bright, and theyre white. I would suggest just buying a combo kit with lighting fixtures for beginners because youre going to need all that stuff anyways ... show more

  • Great replacement bulbs, they work well, good value.
Had to finally replace some bulbs in my five bulb light boxes, got a couple packs of these, they work just like the ones that came with the boxes and are well made. Two months of use now and none have blown out so far, very good bang for the buck.

  • See the light of day any time, any weather, any season
I cannot give these lights enough praise. I’m not a photographer, but in the kitchen and lights everything up where you can see what you’re doing. You can also see places you did not clean or you missed. It brings out the colors of everything like daylight. It also appears to be much brighter. But I believe that is due to the spectrum and the fact that it is closer to daylight. I gave a couple to a friend of mine, who is chickens had gone into winter shutdown. He had lights in the coop, changing to these lights, within 72 hours he started to get eggs again. Note : depending upon the breed of chicken it takes a minimum of 29 hours to produce, to a maximum of 36 hours to produce an egg. Without force Laying. ... show more

  • Sufficient
Unboxed and tested each bulb- they are moderately dimmer than my previous bulbs (500 lumens difference) so I expected a little difference. They take a bit to warm up- then they are sufficient- bought them as replacements. They are good enough for our purposes. Will likely look for higher lumens in future. Price was good for quality. ... show more

  • Great for Photography and General Lighting
I really like this product and use it extensively for photography and general-purpose interior lighting. The 'CFL-Age' brought me mostly a decrease in the quality of interior lighting. Low wattage retail CFLs just don't provide enough light for most indoor tasks unless the bulb is in my face. So 6500K full-spectrum CFLs are a practical solution. Incandescent bulbs are hot and inefficient. These bulbs stay cool and make indoor living during the winter months more enjoyable. They are physically longer than standard CFLs, but about the same width. They work well in can fixtures and in lamps with 10" or 12" harps. I don't know if this is where interior lighting is headed in the future, but being able to see what I'm doing at home has become a minimum requirement for me. ... show more

  • Bright and true to color!
I needed these bulbs to photograph some inventory. The photos need to be true to color and I find that these bright bulbs help with that. I’ve ordered these bulbs a couple times now and haven’t had any issues with them. They seem a bit pricey for me, but I haven’t been able to find anything priced lower with the same brightness. So I will be using these bulbs again. ... show more

  • Each bulb is rated at 6500K and visually, they are very close to white light.
Packaging was outstanding. Each bulb came in individual boxes with molded styrofoam around them for protection and break prevention. I plugged all them into a LimoStudio Quality 4 Socket Bulb photo lighting and they all worked just fine. Each bulb is rated at 6500K and visually, they are very close to white light. Each is rated at 45W and when 4 are combined, it's pretty bright even when reflected against a photo umbrella. The light produced generates good contrast and is consistent. The bulb was bigger than a normal light bulb because of the base plus there are at least 5 loops. I will keep the foam molding to survive the rigors of transport out in the field. I hope they last cause each bulb is a bit pricey. ... show more
