  • I just wanted a toothbrush.
Style: Extra Clean Soft
Why was it hard to find cheap toothbrushes on Amazon? I can walk into Aldi and buy cheap toothbrushes, but I don't want to go to Aldi for toothbrushes. These are the least luxurious toothbrushes I found on Amazon. The only thing they're good for is brushing your teeth. 5-stars for the only toothbrush on Amazon without doctor-recommended multi-function ADA-certified waveform-generated tongue scrubbers. ... show more

  • Good product: relatively soft, and cheap!
Style: Extra Clean Soft
As the manufacturer states in one of the answers above (re softness), these six brushes are of "standard" softness. Over the years, out of curiosity, I've tried medium and even hard (which is really awful for enamel) and these are actually just right: Not so soft that you're replacing every week or two, but not so hard that you're defying the one rule every dentist I've ever known has stated: soft brushes only--of any make with any bells, whistles and gongs that make you happy! I've read more than once that it's good to replace your toothbrush every month or so because of wear, bacteria.... And at this price, why wouldn't you? As for the ergonomics of the handle, brushes, etc., keep in mind that everyone has different teeth, mouth-size, hand and finger size--so for heaven's sake, if you want customized toothbrushes then get out the wallet and hire someone to engineer one just for you! Last, I might sound like a shill for the manufacturer, but I'm just buying another new pack and I saw a lot of whiny complaints about fifty-cent toothbrushes and couldn't resist whining back. They're cheap, soft enough, so move on and go crab about one of the other fifty things you buy here--if you haven't already. ... show more

  • Not soft at all.
Style: Extra Clean Soft
These are advertised as soft bristled, but are extremely hard bristled. I do not brush my teeth hard whatsover, and this made my gum bleed after one brushing session. I reached out to Amazon about the issue and they initiated a refund. I also advised that they may want to alter the description of the item as it is fairly misleading. Not the best product for me, but if you are looking for a set of hard bristled tooth brushes, these are for you, and at a decent price. ... show more

  • Fake? Cheap feel and really hard bristles
Style: Extra Clean Soft
These do not seem like normal Colgate tooth brushes. Either they are counterfeit, or Colgate has a run of very low quality brushes. I even got replacement Colgate brushes from Walmart and they are night and day better quality then these. They look and feel like a cheap knock off tooth brush. The worst part is they claim to be soft bristles, they are not, they are harder then any hard bristly brush I've used before. Hoped they'd soften up with use, they did not. Would NOT recommend using these on your teeth. ... show more

  • Small head, Low bristle density & Thin handle - Not ideal for adults
Style: Extra Clean Soft
These brushes are smaller than most adult brushes I've tried. They are more like children's brushes. The small size was not indicated on the listing or packaging. The handles are very skinny and light weight, making it less ergonomic to hold and easy to tip over on the counter (due to the weight imbalance when toothpaste is applied to the bristles). The brush heads are sparsely populated with very few bristles, and despite being noted as "soft", they felt more like medium. Because the bristles have less surface area, it takes more strokes to get the job done. The bristles don't flare outwards to hug my teeth like most adult brushes do. This lack of brush density makes it easier to accidentally scrape my gums on the plastic head. The price is decent, but you get what you pay for. ... show more

  • How are these soft bristilled?
Style: Extra Clean Soft
I don't exactly see how these toothbrushes are any different than regular toothbrushes. I got them after my dentist recommended I get soft bristled toothbrushes so my gums don't get as irritated. These are exactly like my standard toothbrushes and I wouldn't call them soft bristilled, even though that's how they're advertised. They work well as a normal toothbrush and were inexpensive, but I wouldn't recommend these if you're looking for a soft option. ... show more

  • Good basic toothbrush with a few issues..
Style: Extra Clean Soft
We have been using these for a while and they seem to be good toothbrushes for the price. We have added this to our "Subscribe and Save" list to save some additional money. A new pack shows up every few months and also helps remind us to change them out. There are a few things to be aware of with these though before you buy: 1 - These are listed as a soft toothbrush, but they are not your typical "soft". When we first got these my wife asked if I would change the order to soft, she thought they felt more like medium bristles. 2- The handle is skinny and to me feels a little off when using it. These are very basic toothbrushes, they do a good job though and we continue to use them because of price and convenience with the subscription program. ... show more

  • Great price!
Style: Extra Clean Soft
We had been buying Oral B branded toothbrushes from CostCo for years, but their quality has gone down so much over the years (the brush lose its shape and even individual bristles fall out) and their cost keeps inching up that it sent us on a search for something better. These are the answer! Cheap, durable, easy to grip, and stream-lined. The last point is kind of interesting. So many toothbrushes keep getting more bulky with each passing year -- their handles are thicker with special grips, etc. All in all, many toothbrushes are getting too "big". These fight that trend and remain compact. Much easier to travel with and actually nicer to use day-to-day. Highly recommended. ... show more
