I got this for night riding on suburban streets. It’s insanely bright, so I put it on low. Lights up the road in front of you pretty well. Most Light and Motion lights have the side lights or bezels to shunt a little light sideways. The little lenses on this light dont do much of anything.     • Shaky mount
I purchased this for writing Ontarios. Bad idea as the rubber mount allows the heavy lamp to shake all over the place, creating a strobe effect on the trails. With enough bumps, the light actually pivots left and right or enter pointing down at the trail. Battery life is less than advertised. I get about 90 minutes on the medium setting, which is lower than what was noted in the manual. ... show more

    • Still a difficult mount
Bought one of the first Taz's on the market back 4-5 years ago and loved the comprehensive brightness. However, the mount was impossible to cinch so that it didn't droop. I think I sold it cheap. Decided to again try the 2021 version of the light. Still has a solid, wide beam which is why I bought it. Unfortunately, the mount has not seemingly improved. I pulled it extremely tight and it held on my last ride, but I'm blown away that L & M hasn't figured this out better than they have. ... show more

    • Cold Weather Riders Stay Away
I have 2 different Light and Motion Taz (now Seca) lights. In warm weather riding, they work well. Decent battery life, super bright. However in cold weather, they are unreliable. I can have them fully charged at home, but get out for a ride in the cold, and the battery indicators show they are dead. I get them home and warm them up, and they light right up, battery indicators show full strength. I've had this happen with both lights on many occasions. Super disappointing. I live in Wisconsin, and ride year round, and need a light that works in all seasons. Light and Motion lights unfortunately aren't it. For the money I paid, I expected more. ... show more
