Special Features: ‎Highly recommend if your hatch handle breaks go ahead and replace this unit as well. Hatch works as good as day one., Note that you need to remove the locking solenoid module from the old part into the new one. Installation wasn't too bad as long as you have dismounted the trim on lift gate., If the lock doesn’t function when the button is pressed, or if there is a buzzing noise in the tailgate when the button is pressed, the tailgate actuator-motor may be faulty. You need to replace your tailgate actuator. The tailgate lock actuator fits 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07 years., This latch was pretty easy to install once the panel and trim was removed from the inside of the tailgate., If your latch handle keeps breaking, it may be due to a sticking/old/rusted latch mechanism. So don't keep replacing handles, replace this part as it may be the cause of the problem.

  • If it lasts a while, it will be a great value
Size: 2001-07 Sequoia Trunk Latch
Installed two weeks ago, working perfect so far. Looked like very decent quality. Latch was perfect fit, and the old lock actuator motor fit right on it. Used a new OEM cable we had on hand, both it and the one that came in this package were too long, didn't figure out why (the old cable was broke and destroyed, but new latch assembly dimensions were identical to the old....I suspect something goofy with the handle assembly on the other end of the cable), and I had to put a stack of split washers on the ball end, which works very well to effectively "shorten" it. If all the components last a few years, I will consider it a great value. And I echo the multitudes of owners out there with my opinion of a very poor and weak Toyota latch system design. ... show more

  • It WORKED!!
Size: 2015-20 Ford Lincoln Trunk Latch
I have a 2016 Ford Edge Titanium with power lift gate. I started having trouble with this liftgate over a year ago. Occasionally it wouldn’t open. Then it got gradually worse. By last week it would not unlock or open at all 90% of the time. I tried all the internet tricks, enable/disable the switch, disconnect the battery, etc. Nothing worked anymore. Dealership service dept said it was “probably the latch” and quoted $600 to replace it, with no guarantee it would solve the problem. I found this part on Amazon for $58 and instructions on YouTube. Decided to take a chance. It took me about an hour to change the latch assembly. I had to find a T40 Torx wrench and a 10 mm socket with extension. Once I had the tools removal of the old assembly was quick. Installation was easy, this after market part fit perfectly. Putting the back plastic piece back on was a bear. That took me about 15-20 min alone. But I finally figured it out. The fist time I tried to operate the liftgate nothing worked. My heart sank. I manually closed it and started the car. I enabled the liftgate switch then tried the release a few more times. After a few minutes it finally started working. It sounds a little different than the OEM one but other than that seems to work perfectly. I will update this review if there are future issues. ... show more

  • It works
Size: 2015-20 Ford Lincoln Trunk Latch
Works on my 2018 ford escape se. The fob stopped working, the button near steering wheel stopped and you couldn’t open it manually by outside button. It was basically stuck closed. My husband took the inside panel off to get it open and then changed it. Getting the panel off was probably the hardest part. And this was the cheapest way to buy the part. AutoZone wants $200 and rock auto wants $100. I’m glad I found it and tried it. ... show more

  • Out of The Box.
Size: 2015-20 Ford Lincoln Trunk Latch
Fits my 2017 Ford Escape SE 2.0 AWD. I had a problem with the lift gate not always opening and at the same time the Auto Start feature did not work anymore. After six years the battery was weak, so it was replaced with a fresh one. All functions came back and worked for two months. Again, the trunk did not always open properly, with any of the three buttons. These would be the trunk release on the dash, the key FOB or the handle on the rear gate. Right out of the box this new actuator has restored all the proper functions to all three buttons. Now everything works as it should. ... show more

  • Replacing a worn out OEM lock assy
Size: 2001-07 Sequoia Trunk Latch
Mates up and matches perfectly. Looks to be more durable than the OEM part it replaced. 125k on vehicle and the OEM lock started intermittently failing at 85k. Far less expensive than the OEM part yet, once installed, it requires less force and feels much more secure than the OEM part did when the vehicle was purchased. ... show more

  • Quoted $400-$800 to fix.
The guys at the shop said it could be anywhere from $400-$800 to fix an already known/defective product for KIA/Hyundai. Ordered this part and replaced it myself in all of 15 minutes. Works like a charm. Might as well buy some more in case i need to replace in the future. Still WAY cheaper than taking it to the crooks at the shop. ... show more

  • Worked Great - 2016 Kia Optima
As advertised & good value for the money. Took about 15 minutes to remove old one & install new one. Interior & remote release worked perfectly. Tools required were a 10mm socket with ratchet, standard & phillips screwdriver. Do Not allow someone to slam the trunk lid closed.

  • I can't believe it worked!!
I was skeptical that this would work, for such a low price. But work it did!! Trunk latch is as good as new now.
