    • Surprisingly great
I had an Iphone 5 with the old style case that you clipped the entire Lifeproof case into, and I liked it. It felt very secure. When Lifeproof switched over to this QuickMount system, I was very unhappy, but I upgraded to an Iphone 6 and had no choice but to accept it. I needed an armband for running, so I finally ordered this. Turns out it's pretty great. I actually find it much easier to use than the old style of armband. The mount clips in super easily and the lock switch is easy to access and toggle. Do I like having the QuickMount permanently on the back of my phone case? Absolutely not. I hate it. My phone doesn't lie flat anymore, but that's beside the point. This armband is great and much lighter than the old model. Another plus is that the velcro on this model feels much stronger than the old one, and you get more than one strap for different arm sizes.That's much better than the old method of cutting the band down to size. Plus, if the velcro wears out, you can just replace the strap without buying an entirely new armband. Nice job Lifeproof! ... show more

    • Nice two-piece design ensures maintainability
I have had several other armbands over the years, including the previous generation Lifeproof armband, and I think this one is the best so far. I already own the QuickMount belt clip, so my phone has the QuickMount adapter affixed to it. Within 60 seconds of opening the package, I had this new armband ready to go. I'm a fan of the QuickMount system's simple connect/disconnect and locking mechanisms. This armband just takes the QuickMount mount and packages it in an armband form factor. It does take a bit of practice to align your phone to the mount while you're running, but the attachment is quick (truth!) and engaging or disengaging the lock is a simple matter of flipping the switch. Many other armbands feature a single-piece design, but, like the previous Lifeproof armband, requires replacement of the entire armband when, say, the "hook and loop attachment" (velcro) stops working as well as you would like due to excessive use -- yeah, I'm guilty of wearing out the velcro in several armbands. This problem has been solved in this model with a two-piece approach: the main QuickMount mount and a separate armband with velcro-type connectors on either end -- the package comes with 3 different lengths so that you can use the one that works best for you. To be honest, I can easily use two of the sizes, so I have one replacement taken care of already -- Bonus!. I don't see why Lifeproof wouldn't offer replacement bands for sale in the future. Most armbands secure your phone in a pouch and strap that pouch to your arm. This one is a little different and there is a gap between your arm and the phone. The gap is about the width of a finger, which is convenient since you need a finger to flip the lock switch :) Just be aware that this can be unexpected for those accustomed to the other designs. I have not found it to be distracting and my phone doesn't "wobble" on my bicep while I am running. Note that you don't have to have a Lifeproof case to use the QuickMount system, and you don't even have to use it for a phone. I don't know what else you might want to strap to your arm, but if it has a flat surface large enough for the QuickMount adapter to attach, you can set it up and go. I have already used this armband during several workouts and races and I am very happy with it. ... show more

    • Works great. But falls apart easily
It worked great. Comfy, phone stayed in. Randomly the glue gave out and the band is falling apart now on both sides of the loops. It's usable but now it looks like trash after only a few months when the last one lasted years. Quality has degraded to trash. I would not recommend buying any of their products.     • The Adhesive DOES NOT fall off in regular temperate climates. Superb build quality and security!
I have to disagree with a lot of the bad reviews. My sister got me this as a Christmas present and I absolutely love it. The phone fits super secure and the three different armbands are great to match your arm size. While I can't speak for the reviews that are saying the sticker magnet adhesive falls off during subzero temperatures I will say if you live in California like me or similar temperate regions I haven't had a problem with the adhesive. I like that I can also adjust the armband to however tight or loose I want it. It helps me feel like I'm not cutting off any circulation in my arm and I oftentimes forget that it is even there. Also, it doesn't pinch your arm or leave crazy marks after your take it off which I really like. The build quality is superb compared to all the other armbands out there. Although the magnet adhesive is very minimal I would say the only thing I don't like about it is that it is on your phone case permanently so if you're a person that likes keeping things aesthetically pleasing I would suggest getting a cheap plastic cover to have as your running cover so you don't have to put the adhesive on your nice everyday cover.     • Good product, not as stable as the old model custom nuud and fre armband however.
I own the previous generation of Lifeproof accessories for my retired iphone 5 and can say there are pluses and minuses to the redesign. This armband comes with three different sizes of band whereas the old one came with one really long one that was widely adjustable. The good is that once attached this has little extra fabric to get in the way and since there is less "sinching" I have never had any trouble with arm skin getting pinched like it did frequently on the old one. The down to this is that I sometimes have to switch out the band if I want to wear a fleece or something bulky underneath the band. I always need to switch it if my wife wants to use it. This does not take a great deal of effort but can be a bit annoying when in a hurry. Overall, I think I prefer versatility over the little gain with the swappable bands. In terms of the attachment mechanism: the quickmount system works very well but when running I definitely get a noticable wobble to my phone that I never had with the old mount which hugged your device at all 4 corners as oppose to just in the middle. I understand why Lifeproof went the way they did to allow compatibility with a multitude of cases rather than specific models only, but the custom accessories for the Fre and Nuud cases were more stable hands down. ... show more
